How do you throw a punch at this face and totally miss that nose?
Pretty difficult IMHO.
exctremely difficult.
you do it by side punch
I was going to say "by having a small or flat nose" but sheeeeeeesh. That there is a schnoz of a nose and hard to miss.
By hitting the jaw
I knew it, he dindu nuffin!
By throwing a round house? Some people just swing when they punch. When you are in a clutch with another person, it's hard to punch straight . hitting the side of the head is easier and a better chance of knocking them out on the jaw

Big shnozz but I've seen bigger.
I wonder if it honks like a clown-horn when hit? :clown Nothing a decent hook to the temple or uppercut under the chin wouldn't avoid though. He ain't Jimmie Durante. |

When we are talking just an average fight you're going to want to aim for the face, however don't go straight on directly in. You want to come in at a slight angle where you are actually hitting the cheek bones first and moving in towards the nose or similarly from just above the jawbone moving inwards. The reason for this is that punching straight into the nose can be quite painful if you hit it incorrectly. This method maximizes damage and minimizes risk. How to Throw a Punch Correctly |
Broken eye sockets probably take at least a week to show signs of swelling or bruising.
