Looking forward to January when Microsoft is planning to unveil Windows 10 consumer features as the very first version was too raw. Do you think Redmond guys are really making something outstanding under the hand of the new CEO?

But they'd lost a large market piece during all those years under Ballmer.

I think Microsoft is getting back to their old roots. Making money. Start releasing new operating systems and stop supporting older ones. Force all PC consumers to buy a new OS every couple of years.

It seems every other release of Microsoft's operating systems are good. So maybe Windows 10 will be better.

I would like a Mac, Just so I could try writing apps for the iphone and ipad.

Been using Windows 10 now for a couple months.... its fantastic!

Windows 7 is great, I'm running 8.1 now and once you install a classic startmenu it's just as good.

Well, I don't think another CEO would have changed things much and been able to keep a market share of 97-98%.

You are right Windows 10 is a fine OS already and it's interesting to see the end result, and how they are going to unify one system to computers, tablets, phones, consoles and TVs.

Yup, I'm really enjoying Windows 10!

I agree. From a market cap perspective, Microsoft is roughly $400 billion, but Apple is at $700 billion.

Yet Apple can still convince some hipsters that it is the plucky underdog.

Unless they really turn things around and quit treating the desktop like a mobile device screen, I'll stick to Windows 7.
