He won't be signing with another team this year. It would be a public relations nightmare. :2 cents:

Good. And hopefully both he and his wife can refrain from abusing each other in the future.

so disgusted by this affair, & it has nothing to do with the assault.

IMO this is solely the personal business of ray rice & his wife. its not the NFLs business, its not the publics business. it is janay palmers life, & its her right to choose what the consequences should be to ray rice. not anyone elses.

even worse have been the attacks on janay, for forgiving him. the womens movement crowd accuse her of denial & mental illness for sticking by her man. grotesque, they treated her exactly like they did monica lewinsky. Feminists are nothing but man hating cavebeasts & will vilify any woman that does not toe the line.

& worst of all is the NFL, the holier than thou losers who had no problem with what ray lewis did. They didnt even have a problem with what ray rice did, giving him 2 games off. But suddenly a tape goes public, one they saw, & OMG he needs to be suspended forever, until a judge brings sanity to the situation.

completely pathetic. :2 cents:

Do you realize what complete chaos it would be if the law let the victim of domestic violence determine the fate of the accused? Women that are being abused physically are often too scared to press charges, therefore the attorney general is given the right to step in and formally file charges for the state in order to protect the victim.

Goodell claims he never saw the 2nd tape showing the punch when he rendered his initial penalty of a 2 game suspension. You may feel like the NFL shouldn't be involved, but Ray Rice signed a contract with a personal conduct policy. He was getting paid millions of dollars and along with that came the responsibility to conduct himself in a certain way off the field. No employer is going to sit idle if one of it's key employees is being shown all over the news conducting himself in the manner Ray did.

Someone will be desperate for a running back -- but they have to really desperate because he's on the downslide of his career. As a running back 27 may as well be 57.

Yep, not to mention the "1000" bad assess coming out of college this year.

Relentless 11-29-2014 05:48 PM

With zero baggage, Rice is not a good back to pick up. He clearly lost a step, he was never a great receiver out of the backfield and he is undersized for heavy offensive sets. Adrian Peterson will get a lot of action... but Rice was likely done before the incident took place. He just gave teams an easy way to dump his contract and cost himself 10M at the tail end of his career.

Take his career... sure. Take his next 6 months.... they would be foolish to do that.
WR Andre Johnson had a nice career in Houston... I wouldn't sign him either based on current performance.

... And Andre didn't punch a woman out of an elevator :2 cents:

GFY needs a +1 button. You're spot on! Victims of domestic violence are sometimes too scared, sometimes too financially dependent and often so mentally abused that they believe the violence against them is their fault.

These victims need a voice and they need to be taken care of.

Wilbo 12-02-2014 04:55 AM

Ray Rice had a bad year last year with is hip injury, some people were already saying he was done. With that said, a team picked up Michael Vick, and people like dogs better than drunk hoes........
