I have been very serious about diet recently, and working out.
I have been working out 4-5 times a week for a few months straight. I have a simple workout. 30 minutes cardio then 30-35 minutes weights with no rest time. I really mean, no rest time, i keep my heart pumping the whole time. I do a push and a pull so i get the max benefit to each muscle group. Abs are everyday.
Diet is not super strict but going well. Strength is coming back. On Bench, i am about three weeks shy from two plates aside on my 4th set for 6-8. Currently i am doing 90 kgs..2 plates aside is 100 kgs....everything is in kgs here. Sorry. I might stretch it out and not push to hit the 100 kgs for an extra month. Try to get my 3rd set at 90...for 8-10...then 4th set at 90 for 8 before i move it up. I know it is not a ton, but i am loving it. Chest has always been my weak muscle group. Anyway, the point of this after patting myself on the back above is, after three months straight of good food and solid commitment to my routine. Today out of the fuckin blue. I walked into a convenience store and bought 2 snickers bars, a ghana chocolate bar, and a bag of chocolate squares. Ate them all...wtf I see people post about having a cheat day, i think i had a month of cheat days in one go...fuck. Basically the next three workouts are to subtract the sugar i just ingested. Anyone have relapses like this in the middle of a goal? Just out of the blue, completely sober. Ate a large pile of chocolate. |
remember two important things and you will be fine.
1. one binge meal/snack load/pig out day will not make you fat again and ruin your overall result. 2. one workout will not reverse a binge meal/snack load/pig out day. The trick is to get rid of the 'aww fuck it' mentality after you do these binges, there is a huge difference from getting back on track from one day then trying to fix a month or two of binges. Just get back to the routine and soldier on and nothing will get in your way. Keep it up man, you got this. |
dick pics please

The chocolate is fine but you should probably care a little less about how much you're benching.

If you're going to have a "cheat day" spend it with a hooker. (or Juicy)

It shouldn't matter i push for form and quality of each rep over how much i am lifting. I just want my quality reps on my 4th set of bench to be 100 kgs sometime this spring. |

When doing pulldowns they throw their weight back just to get the bar moving down a bit. Doing chest they will bring it down about 3 inches and then go back up. Even things like bicep curls they are not able to stand straight or keep their shoulders isolated. I don't care I don't have time to talk to them, anyway my Korean is not good enough. I talk to the super fit girl who works the counter because it is worth trying to figure out what she is saying. She is 51..looks 29-32..body looks like 23...unreal |
If anything that cheat day probably helped you. When I was hardcore dieting I would do the same every now and then...didnt hurt my goals in the slightest

I walk about 4 miles in the mornings on Mon tue thurs and Fri. The same day at almost 1 I walk 3/4 mile and into the gym for about 1.3 hours. I do a full body warm on Monday, Tuesday is isolated usually upper wed NOTHING workout wise. Thursday is Isolated usually legs Friday is Cooldown same sets and reps with a LOT lower weights.
I know its not a plan like most people use but Im not trying to build much just maintain and keep fit. Its been working out well for almost 2 years now. |
If you Limit the intake of Carbs over all, you can eat a lot of things that would normally make you fat. The biggest thing is moderation. Eat Half of that burger one day and half the next.

oh skip any ab routines.. waste of time. deadlifts/squats have you covered even at modest weights--crunches don't give you abs, diet does. if you really want to add some core work just grab the medicine ball and whip it against the wall from side to side..

i would have said the same, but people tend to turn that into carb backloading every day! then wonder why they gained 80 lbs.. haha It actually requires more discipline to balance those than staying consistent i find. |
Im trying to cut some weight now too. Was going great but the last 2 weeks have relaxed on the diet and BAM 4lbs. Just get back on it man - you're doing great!

You might want to read up on lifting as you might be doing too much. I have been reading that diet and 7 days in between workouts of that muscle group are the big thing these days. |
