RIP to one of my alltime favorite hockey legends
 

RIP Jean Beliveau:

Montreal Canadiens legend Jean Beliveau has died at the age of 83. Beliveau played 18 seasons for the Montreal Canadiens. He won 10 Stanley Cups and was captain for 10 seasons before his retirement in 1971.

Beliveau survived throat cancer in 2000 and also had a stroke in 2012.

Old time hockey! He was a true ambassador of the sport.

May he rest in peace.

Sad new for the Hockey.R.i.p

I'm not quite sure it's a 'sad' day per se. The guy lived to 83, after all. No one lives forever. He had a storied career, a long amazing life, even beat cancer, and has died a legend of the sport he lived for.

For me it's more of a day of honoring his memory.

Had the chance to meet this Legend/Hero a few times as a kid since my dad knew of him. It's a very very sad day in Quebec and all around the world of Hockey today.
