Yahoo News Special Report: American Unrest
The decision by a Staten Island, New York Grand jury not to bring charges in the case of Eric Garner, a black man who died after being placed in a chokehold by a white police officer, has lead to protests across New York City. The news comes less than two weeks after Ferguson, Missouri erupted in flames when a grand jury there failed to indict a white police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. All of this has once again raised questions about the state of the relationship between law enforcement and the African American community. It has also sparked outrage. Across the country protestors have taken to the streets to have their voices heard. Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric leads a panel discussion that includes the children of Eric Garner, Eric and Erica, Former New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and political comedian W. Kamau Bell. full article.. |

So this story is supposed to change my opinion on being responsible enough in your own life that you don't have to worry about ever meeting the police? If you don't break the law in the first place, or resist arrest after getting caught the whole argument is pointless. Sure police procedure might need changed, sure deaths are tragic, but to NEVER recognize any responsibility on the offenders part makes the argument too one sided. And police procedure should be in question not race. edit: And my thread about having more Black cops was met with nothing but comments to mind my own business and excuses why Black males won't be cops. I'm not a racist, I'm a realist. . |

I even broke down the benefits of being a cop and living/working in your own neighborhood. https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-pr...-officers.html Or is the idea only noteworthy if it's not from a white man? . |

Why does it matter what color were the 2 people? Or is that based on automatic assumption that it was hate crime because the "perp" was white?
Fucking race monger scumbags (usually proudly representing themselves as anti racists). |

The problem black people have today, is they continue to use racism as a crutch and excuse for everything that doesn't go well for them. Perhaps if you guys rallied about police brutality rather than trying to make everything about racism, then perhaps people might pay attention to you. Its very sad that the media also chooses to hype this type of BS by trying to justify racism from blacks as if there is only racism from whites. Now I agee that the police used excessive force in this situation but it was not racism that caused it, but bad training and the cop mentally that they can do whatever they want. Quit blaming shit on racism and start focusing on the real problem.. By always claiming racism it shows that you are the racist because you can't see past the color of anyone skin that isn't black. |

In this case: He is not saying that racism does not happen, he says that you cry racism whenever it was it or not. |

thanks for the mention :1orglaugh
Anyway, it's another news story focusing on race instead of kills by cops, which seems to be the real issue. "a black man choked by white policeman". The media are making it a race war. Best not to jump on the hate bandwagon. Carry on! |
