The five men who were wrongfully jailed for the 1986 rape of a Central Park jogger are pursuing $52 million in damages from the state in the Court of Claims after winning a landmark $41 million settlement from the city. Myron Beldock, attorney for four of the five men, dismissed any notion that the group had already pocketed enough taxpayer money. Central Park Five pursue more money after $41M settlement - NY Daily News Cops dont set people up, some of you guys are fucking blind as fuck |
Jesus they got big cash, now they want more, nice!
|
relax in luxury. that prison life is a bad memory im sure
|
Definitely fucked up,
but they already have way more than enough cash for the rest of their lives.. They aren't going to get anymore. Looks bad. |
Yes they will get it and deserve it.
Sadly the real winners are the attorneys. |
You make it seem like it's an epidemic. It's a miniscule percentage of arrests.

it is epidemic in certain area, the police has proven to turn cams off and plant drugs on black and mexican people. You should not be killed for standing out in front of store or walking down the street by the people that suppose to protect us. I didnt comment no crime, but has been stop by the police over 7 times. I ask my friend Jeff which is white has never been stop by police. My Friend Fred one time cause he was speeding, police love to stop black males for no reasons. My brother owns group homes, in white areas, he decided to get his ass in shape at the park down the street, cops rolls up ask him what he doing there . come on now |
people say cops dont have no reason to set people up
they lied |
$41 million split between 5 guys isn't even 10 million each. Now add in any taxes they have to pay and lawyers and they probably walk away with 3 to 4 million each if they are lucky.
Now consider, they spent up to 7 years of their lives in jail and years after that before they ever saw a penny from the lawsuit. I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't trade 7 years of my freedom for 3 or 4 million specially if it took another 10 years after that to get paid. Think about it.. this happened in 1989 and they are just now getting resolution. Added to this the only real way a person has to get back at the justice system when wrongly accused is to sue. When cities can't afford their insurance they get forced to police their police force.. |
