It would be a good strategy for content creators and digital rightsholders who suffer from piracy to create their own media, and never link to the piracy advocacy sites like torrentfreak or boingboing to share this sort of news...

It will never go down, they uploaded the entire piratebay site to the piratebay so everyone has a copy. The authorities are not dumb either, they know this and will claim this as a reason to enact their next 'patriot' law.
