I'm surprised at how calm the ocean is right now, the winds have increased pretty good and we had a good set of nice waves this morning then kaput!

it's dark now, besides, when the surf is up here, I am over my head w/learning to surf. I'm still learning.

killer killer waves here when conditions are ideal but that also means killer killer rip tides and just insanely powerful waves, if you don't drop in right = trouble. i paddle out only when it's <8 ft swells. maybe by summer I'll have the skill set to try the real deal waves.

Rain? With 2 feet of snow at the end of my driveway today, I laugh at a little rain.

we prefer to call it reclaimed water.

The West Coast of FL in the afternoon watching it coming across the peninsula can be an awesome sight and violent also.

Grey Water is better then Brown Water! Grey Water with small floaters make the lawn grow on a accelerated rate.

I drive highway 17 every day and it was sketchy this morning. Not looking forward to driving home.

That is a monster storm. Why are people on the roads risking not only their lives but the lives of the first responders.

I didn't realize it was a hour old. I thought the storm was upon you, not on it's way in. I am on the East Coast. News broadcasts here are showing footage the magnitude of what CourtneyR_FFN has photographed.

Our house was built in the late 70's, and completely remodeled since then, so the pool doesn't have the drain for some reason. The newer ones they put them in I hear.

Now I gotta fish all those damn leaves out. :1orglaugh

News crews always find those one or two bad spots and over dramatize it, while standing in the wind and rain looking like fucking idiots.

Haha, yah I thought for sure that flag was gonna be in the bottom of the pool this morning. LOL. You can actually see the 6 inches of standing water in the corner of the yard there too. That part always pools water and takes a day to drain. We don't get enough rain to invest in drainage for that side of the house. It always runs off into the neighbors drainage anyhow.

Still Raining around the south bay. Most of the flooding has gone down. Still a few areas with drainage problems.

that is absolutely nutty. I lived in the bay area for a decade or so and never saw anything like the rain y'all are getting this go round, dang.

I just checked the forecast for here, we're scheduled for rain 100% until 6pm

I am glad that it's staying in the mountains for a long time. That snow will really help out the drought come melt time.

Yeah it has been a bit nutty. And you're right I have lived here for 13 years and never saw this much rain. Exactly why most folks didn't know what to do when it dumped on us yesterday.
