for me - something terrible. looks like someone turned some switch off...

same traffic, sales ? = 4x times less what they used to be usually so far.

so far I didnt have such bad month since YEARS.

Paying more to affiliates on revshare banner spots then ad brokers so something is working.

From what viewpoint, as a sponsor or affiliate?

If affiliate, what type of sponsors are you promoting? Paysites, cams, dating, ad networks, VOD, sex toys, DVDs, mainstream, etc?

What commission structure are you using? Revshare, PPS, PPL, CPM?

How many sites do you run? How many niches do you promote?

If your business is properly diversified, the impact from one factor should be minimal, without such extreme variations to your bottom line.

I was throwing those dates out to see if there was much agreement, but could well be that scrubbing days vary. Something going on somewhere, possibly stolen credit cards on the lose. :thumbsup

affiliate POV...I promote only paysites.... STEADY (+- 50 % max difference in steady ranges) income since years...I see no reason for such fluctuation...anyway, the month is still not over, and in this business you may earn in one day what you would earn in one week, so lets see....

Fine tuning is for people who have steadily growing businesses. People who see declines, especially sharp declines need to make radical changes to turn things around.

As I said, you're not properly diversified. You should take the opportunity to offer other products and services to your valuable traffic. If you don't offer them, then someone else will monetize that traffic. What do you have against other monetization methods?

First week in the business, 0.0008$. Honestly I consider that pretty good, because I haven't advertised my site anywhere. Also, I figured the first $ I make is probably within the first half a year. I got time.

I jinxed myself... yesterday was the worst day of the year, decline after decline...

Is the VOD worthwhile, or would I be better offering live cam from my solo site again?

Mine are down about 30% - I think its that new pengiun update tho.. just my guess so far.

There was definitely a barrier to sales last night (for me at least), perhaps they keep the chargeback ratio as low as possible before Christmas then take down the scrub for serious sales over the Christmas period :2 cents:

wow you've got a great memory :-) Well I am still doing adult but obviously its not as lucrative as it was years ago.

Lots more competition for eyeballs and search engine positioning. My income is steadily declining in adult but then so is the time I'm spending promoting adult. Becoming a dad twice in 1 year can certainly be distracting too :thumbsup

I still have adult sponsors that sell like cockwork but i dont want to go the way of BlockBuster and continue to rely 100% on promoting things that people can get for free or cheap elsewhere.

I've since been concentrating more on mainstream projects. It finally hit me that I've built up quite an array of skills and experience/expertise and I'm being silly spending 100% of my time promoting adult - when you think of it, adult is a niche product!

The mainstream market is wider and deeper than adult and there really are a ton of mainstream opportunities that I would be silly not to take advantage of.

Now that everyone and their grandmother has the internet in their hands - all the time - the opportunities are boundless. It requires the same energy and focus as adult but with a bigger market available to you.

It also takes time to build up a mainstream income just like it does in adult but its a more reliable income and makes more sense/cents than relying 100% on an industry that gets no respect the way adult does.

P.S. I find it interesting that google now refuses to take xxx adwords (I was making good profit on those!) but they still show a shitload of torrent results for xxx movie titles. fucking google :321GFY

P.P.S. I still love promoting adult and seeing beautiful women naked! Always have, always will :-)

i cant compare my sales with the last dec.2013..they dropped down

Better than last month.

Usually December it's our best month, but not this year :( , even in august sells was better.
I think the reason is that many affiliate lost there traffic in the last Google update.
