Dude do Key West. Or Key Largo at least. There is a really great reef off Key Largo. Some of the best snorkeling in the world. Key West was a really long ass drive but I see Key Largo is 1 1/2 hours or so.

Naples is in Italy

There's loads to do on this coast. When is your trip? If you're looking to get out of Miami, heading down to the Keys for snorkeling is amazing.
If you like serene parks and Asian culture, check out Morikami Gardens in Delray. You can hit the Hardrock in Hollywood, too. They always have a ton of stuff going on. Music, Dining, Gambling, Shows.... There's Improv's in Miami and West Palm. Hanging out at City Place in West Palm before and after a show is always fun. Tons of food, live music, people watching :) Is Clearwater a day trip you have planned? I know that's about a 4ish hour drive from Miami. But the west coast of FL has some amazing beaches, and they're definitely worth the drive. ~Emily |
Anything on the West coast of FL is an absolute shit hole. Do not waste your time over there unless you want to do some shopping in the Naples area. There is a historic mansion in Fort Lauderdale called Bonnet house Bonnet House Museum and Gardens - Fort Lauderdale - Reviews of Bonnet House Museum and Gardens - TripAdvisor which gives tours and you can walk around the grounds, there is also another mansion in Palm Beach called Flagler Museum Henry Morrison Flagler Museum - Palm Beach - Reviews of Henry Morrison Flagler Museum - TripAdvisor There is also a very nice walk along the intercoastal right there called river walk. Also hit worth ave. in Palm Beach. It is the Rodeo Dr of the east. Miami is a shit hole.
Depends on what you like to do. Do you like to walk around and see historic stuff, or do you like to sit inside smokey casinos and gamble and go to shows? I prefer staying outside, especially this time of year. |

I assumed South Beach was already in the plans otherwise that is the day trip. Lunch on the beach strip. Sun and topless beach then dinner at Mangos. Dancing at Nicki Beach afterwards.

Absolutely no reason to leave Miami/Ft Lauderdale. I live in Tampa Bay, the Ohio of Florida. We boast the busiest Super Wal-Mart in the entire chain, right down the road from me. Need more be explained? I was born here; that's my excuse. For some months, I've been networking and looking for the right opportunity so that I can live where you are. I say with all humility that the only reason to be here is to visit me.

Yeah go down to the keys. No reason to go to the west coast of FL. Every town has a Publix supermarket, a few skanky strip clubs. and TONS of churches where people roll around on the floor and wave their arms while speaking in tongues.

Joe's stone crabs on south beach, and call it a day.
