Facebook thinking about 'dislike' function

Facebook is thinking about adding a way to "dislike" posts on its site, founder Mark Zuckerberg has said.

Speaking at a Q&A session in California, he said it was one of the most requested features the social network receives from its users.

He said the site would need to find a way to make sure it did not become a way to demean people's posts.

According to Facebook's own figures, 4.5 billion "likes" are generated every day.

bigPunk 12-15-2014 08:51 AM

Scott McD 12-15-2014 08:57 AM

Don't use Facebook and your life will be private.

EngineCash 12-17-2014 05:30 AM

Hmm I don't think so... :) Dislike can be rude and that is opposite of the Facebook politic... :)

seeandsee 12-17-2014 05:31 AM

Add dislike button, it will burn some people lol

LouiseLloyd 12-17-2014 05:37 AM

Only one button Facebook requires...

an easy way to keep in light contact with friends & family far and wide, is derided by people who post various shit on a message board for the attention of complete strangers...

Classic stuff :thumbsup

facebook has a lot of issues lately. on my personal account, i have to get through this identity confirmation just to retrieve my account. now they'll be adding another function. why they can't just fix first problems like a had before adding some features. just saying thou.

CyberHustler 12-17-2014 06:56 AM

That shit would be hot... Every damn fish lips face I see would be disliked.

madame 12-17-2014 07:06 AM

Not a "dislike" itself but something of the kind... So far I think they considered a "Hug" button in order to be able to show sympathy etc. but it would have weird meaning for business accounts.

bluebook18 12-17-2014 07:13 AM

wtf is facebook..

This is a bad idea as it will be abused, good luck finding a way to counter that.

I believe facebook got big cause of people's sheep mentality, I may be many things but im not a sheep.

I dont need facebook and many that "think" they need it, dont need it either.

The only good reason for facebook to exists is to connect with old friends or acquintances. The rest is pure garbage.

Maybe they're considering it as a countermeasure to the abuse of likes? ;)

ITraffic 12-17-2014 08:37 AM

Arhannen 12-17-2014 08:54 AM
