Not mine, my skill set is a far cry from these pilots....these guys are running 1000cc, with 240 hp back tire on straits. I just want to see what 200 mph looks like from a nice country setting ;)

Oldest moto race in history, and the only one with out limit! Balls out racing. The man, the machine, the clock.

Good for those suicidal - instead of committing suicide start racing TT, at least get some fun before kicking the bucket :1orglaugh

My take,...we are all going to die,...some by the bottle,...some by dope,...some by learning how to fly, some just by living a stagnant life????.....I choose wings!

Dead 12-15-2014 07:04 PM

Id like to be sober and meet mine, fucking head on;)

Dead 12-15-2014 07:13 PM

Over a hundred years of racing and only 245 dead? That's not bad odds for a track of this caliber? Hell, joining the army will get you killed a hell of lot quicker, and none of the glory.....

Dead 12-15-2014 07:18 PM

I love life ,......A lot! So much, that I would never try to hold on to it like it was mine to own. These guys get it. Game on!!!
I don't usually share my passion up here, just thought i would share.....No worries ;)

MaDalton 12-15-2014 07:26 PM

I used to ride but not in my wildest dreams i'd do that

Self preservation has you throttled, I totally get get this, trying to over come is the next step. For me. and $250.000 to build the bike I wish to race :thumbsup

Would be more concerned about being left paralyzed than dying, well I dunno, I value my health and mobility too much, but I know this stuff is a drug for some people :2 cents:

Many others out there as well. I agree, quality is very important, and getting busted up is a bad day. I bet, you look into the eye of a racer that went down, his light still burns fire with amazing intensity. I have nothing, only respect for their level of commitment.

I did some moto racing as a kid (late teens) in the UK, amateur superbike. Second season with a sponsor I came off pretty badly into haybails stacked against armco barriers that put me in hospital for over a month and a pin in my femur. That was the end. Later I did some just for fun Canyon racing around LA, but I never had the edge anymore and I knew it. Those naked rock walls around the TT are scary as Fuck.

Those boys have brass balls and very little imagination. Major respect. Bless 'em.

Traction sucks, upon delivery to the hospital I was given a phone and was to call anyone that would be able to sort my finances, pelvis was bleeding out."Hey MOM, I fucked up"....I dropped the weights 3 weeks in and went to shit in the toilet like a man! Nurse freaked the fuck out, surgeon was called into remove the piece of all thread out of my shin,...was sent home AMA! My now wife was there to shuffle me the hell back to my bed and my best friend, little Bear :thumbsup (femur, pelvis, and all kinds of broke)

These guys are nothing but the best athletes on this planet.....not for money, or the glory,...its a personal thing that is indescribable I am certain ....

May the road be kynd to these fucking mere mortals!

Think about this for one second.....with out all the things that tell you "your gonna die" and then pause. Most sane thing I have witnessed to date. True inspiration if you look close :thumbsup

Erik_B 12-16-2014 06:05 PM

Make sure you wear a GoPro :) and good luck!

Dead 12-16-2014 06:17 PM
