How often do your sites get hacked defaced?

I am seem to be attacked too often to be just annoyed. Does anyone else spend their time repairing and defending hackers? I know adult content offends but shit i take two steps forward and three back and getting rather annoyed makes it hard with 100's of domains.
I would think i am getting fucked over every quarter.

now the question is, why are you being hacked? does your sites have some valuable informations they can use? or your security just sucks so they come to your sites everytime they have nothing else to do, or when someone other from the crew passes the test? :) have luck :)

lock 12-22-2014 04:23 AM

adult and traffic sites are getting defaced. Anything accessible but non related is left alone.

Run kaspersky on your entire source code tree, you have shells there. That or you are just rooted. Probably both in which case you might not find a thing ;)

More just a case of they can.

99% of hacks are are "bulk hacks",meaning people target by security hole, they dont target anyone personally as searching for security hole of single website would take toomany time.Even hacking have some sort of bussiness approach.

Sounds logical might start using some more of my white label content and let it rely on other servers as i really don't have the time to manage but that is us all i guess.

As the main or all attacks are bulk attacks, with some pre-emptive measures you can secure your sites pretty well. It is different is someone dedicates their efforts towards your site(s), but even that doesn't mean automatic security failure if your basics are sound.

thats what i was talking about, there is only few affiliate sites that have value for hackers to waste time on them, so if its the bulk hack target, the security on those sites have to be upgraded :winkwink:

Axeman 12-22-2014 04:40 AM

Sounds like you need to move to a managed server, on a host which focus on security.

Velcome to the struggle mate

PornDiscounts-V 12-22-2014 07:04 AM

Very rarely.

RummyBoy 12-22-2014 07:46 AM

Very often and its annoying because I think we're pretty diligent in closing any holes and following all the best protocol with regard to security.

It's hard to avoid it these days...........you can only do your best.

freecartoonporn 12-22-2014 10:13 AM

let me guess, you are using free/popular cms ...

move to managed hosting like isprime , i heard they even notice ongoing hacks

Are you using dedicated or vps or shared hosting? What scripts are you using if any?

WDF 12-22-2014 02:12 PM

I have 50 plus word press sites and do not have issues. There are all sorts of ways to secure word press.

It sounds like your host maybe compromised if it is happening repeatedly.

Are you using a common (use it everywhere/elsewhere) password and not changing it?

Are you keeping plug ins, themes, and base platform software updated?

Have you looked at logs to see how they are getting in?

It's ironic that you're constantly getting hacked, considering your avatar is AdultLock.com.

lock 12-31-2014 12:07 AM

The hacker is part of a group that attacks western servers my server is one of hundreds attacked mainly adult the reason for the post is to see whether others here were effected in this particular hit. I could post details but not worth the headaches. FTP was hacked not wordpress.

Old sites or sites with traffic are more likely to be targeted. If you haven't ever been hacked it isn't just luck it is just a matter of time.
