The Glenrothes single malt whisky

After a lengthy process of assessment, a small number of single casks were selected as being worthy of being bottled as The Glenrothes. The first of these casks to be bottled was the Single Cask 1970 #10573.

The hallmarks of The Glenrothes are quality and purity, evident in this beautifully-balanced, elegant and well-mannered single malt with peerless texture, perfectly expressed by this single cask bottling. The spirit was distilled on July 6th 1970. Cask #10573, an ex-bourbon hogshead, yielded just 179 bottles at a natural strength of 40.6% alcohol by volume. It was transferred to glass on April 2nd 2012.

or drink enough whiskey until you are convinced you went on vacation... don't need the fancy stuff for that though..

Anyone want to sell me an empty bottle? I will fill it with something cheap and serve it to people that think I like them.

I actually saw that happen back in a restaurant I worked in, in the 90's. Had a display bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII. It was filled with CC Rye. The bartender was in the cellar, and a guy came up to the bar and wanted a shot of the cognac. The cute young hostess was happy to help him out, but she had no idea that the bottle on the bar was for display purposes only, and that the real stuff was on the top shelf in the bar. She poured him a shot, he bucked it back, claimed it was the best thing he'd ever had, paid the $75 and left.
