An education is a good thing.....you see that flag the basic design is the St Andrews Cross. its the basic design on many flags including scotland and it predates slavery by hundreds of years

matter of fact outside the united states it has little if any ties to slavery, its history is much more closely related to Saint Andrew (imagine that) and the style of cross he was crucified on.
