Is advertising the way for porn?
Is advertising the way for porn?
Before you jump around and say that only porn or dating will advertise on porn sites, this is not what I am suggesting. In the age of free porn would it make more sense to promote products/services within the porn itself. For example in pics you can have the model hold the product or even be inside the shop you promoting. The same with vids, but an advert can be added to the start, middle and/or end. The idea is that firms pay to be in porn. And even if the porn is pirated its still being seen with the adverts. The cost of production of the porn is then more than covered by the adverts paid for within the porn. I am also referring to mainstream advertising. While at first mainstream may not with to be involved with porn. The numbers would more than make it worth while as a porn film pirated may be seen by millions and thus the small investment to have an advert within the porn film would be a rather low cost - but have huge results. |
Model says where she bought her dildo. Then some asshole cuts your 30 second ad out and uploads the rest?

been hearing about this for years already, still don't think anyone does it.

And to be honest I would think most people would not bother to cut the file. |

Good idea. But I don't know about people not cutting the file. I see tons of videos on there where watermarks are blurred out and a new one added. |
Porn site advertising: Company promotes itself on adult sites
How to Advertise on a Porn Website | Eat24 Blog Driving Conversions on a Budget: Eat24’s All Natural Ad Enhancement Hi, we’re Eat24. If you already know us – hey sexy, welcome back, looking good. If you’re new, let’s catch you up: Eat24 is the Internet’s favorite food delivery app and website. The first rule of Eat24 Club used to be “don’t talk about Eat24 Club,” but that turned out to be a terrible marketing strategy. Anyway, we like to do things differently around here. Very differently. When it comes to spreading our brand message, we usually take the road less travelled. This is one road we want to share with you, a road that took us where no marketing team has gone before. Well, at least not without clearing their browser history afterward. The Problem: Conversion Rate. Want Bigger? When we start a new marketing campaign, one of our main goals is to maximize ROI without dipping into our hair gel fund (because priorities). Since Eat24 is a privately held company that has accepted exactly $0 in VC funding to date, we don’t really like throwing piles of cash at huge traditional media campaigns. We prefer to be smart with our money, which is why we have to come up with creative and unique marketing strategies to fit our budget and brand. It’s an eternal quest to find the perfect ad platform with really high traffic, and dirt cheap inventory. Basically, a unicorn. The Solution: Porn, the Internet’s Unicorn PORN. Porn is the answer! Honestly, we should’ve seen this one coming. Some of our heaviest users and biggest fans on social media just happen to be porn stars. Like, actual real-life porn stars. Tera Patrick, Daisy Lynn, Andy San Dimas and Tara Lynn Foxx to name a few. It makes perfect sense when you think about it. They enjoy a life without pants and are constantly working up a huge appetite. Eat24 and porn stars are a match made in sexy heaven! They use us in just the way we like to be used, and we always leave them full and satisfied. Observe: |
The number of mainstream advertisers willing to venture into adult content territory will be limited.
Eat24 is an outlier in this case and they used their campaigns to generate buzz/get the brand into mainstream media by being intentionally risque and by pulling off this stunt/experiment. |
It would be hard. My understanding is that some companies have tried this and it didn't work out. There are a couple reasons off the top of my head that I can think of. First, people rarely watch a full porn video. They jump forward or back to the action, watch the scene that does it for them, get off then shut it off. I have porn videos that are 90 minutes long and I have only ever seen about 10-15 minutes of the video. This means the product placements etc would have to be in the sex scenes and if they are done in a distracting way they will likely annoy people more than anything.
The second reason is that conversions are likely to be very low. I don't know how many people are going cum, then go look up a product and buy it because they saw it in the video. Not to mention, you would likely have to be able to guarantee a lot of views in order to get any kind of decent rates. I suppose there could be some way to do a version of it, but in the end it would likely be more of a pain in the ass than it was worth. |
