Anyone have a contact at DailyMotion?
We used DailyMotion to promote some of our videos and our account recently was disabled due to violation of terms of use. I was under the impression topless content was allowed there and we haven't had any problems for about 8 years and now all of a sudden they don't allow sexually explicit content anymore even though if you type "topless" in their search they have tons of titties everywhere. Anyways, I used to have a contact there but his email bounced so I'm guessing he no longer works there. Does anyone have a DailyMotion contact they wouldn't mind sharing? :angrysoap

Sorry, Sure don't. I have noticed this. I had daily motion and youtube delete a video of a clothed girl humping a pillow, even marked the videos as adult content. Youtube and daily motion are both full of similar videos that aren't even marked as adult that have been up for years.
I had a video of 2 girls full clothed and kissing that I uploaded to youtube, marked it as adult and it got deleted too. Was thinking of a strategy where I make the video political. Have 2 girls kissing and then they say "my porn site supports gay marriage" at the beginning. See what happens. |
It's because their enforcement teams are in shithole third wheel countries and they don't train well, nor give a shit. Think call center with authority. Tons of abuse.

They're probably also going to want you to move up to motion maker status and they'll ask for more information about then the NSA,CIA and FBI put together could ever dream of asking. It been a while since I've used Dailymotion but I used too call their office directly and spoke to woman called Sabine (33) 1.77.35.11.00 |
Oh awesome, thank you. Do they speak English ok? I don't know any French unfortunately.

Like I said I've dealt with them off and on. And each time I had a problem it would get fixed by one person and very often un-fixed by another. But this is the French's love of bureaucracy which is always subject to interpretation. A French expression is "why make something simple when you can make it complicated." They'll probably want you to inscribe in one of their partner programs and that tends to help a little in the case of future difficulties. But if you do that be prepared for Nazi style questions about who you are, your business, etc. and endless stupid forms that need to be filled out. If your determined to attack a French market then I suggest a Québécois site called Tagtele.com It hits all the same francophone and anglophone markets as Dailymotion but without the bullshit. Not only are the rules clear but it's pretty easy to talk directly with the site owner through facebook. Best of luck to you. |
