Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has been suspended for this week's Wild Card Round matchup against the Dallas Cowboys after stepping on Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Sunday's 30-20 loss.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network passed along the information, relayed from a league spokesperson:


"You did not respond in the manner of someone who had lost his balance and accidentally contacted another player who was lying on the ground," NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks said in a letter, per Marc Sessler of NFL.com. "This illegal contact, specifically the second step and push off with your left foot, clearly could have been avoided."

Dam, $7800 fine for a throat slash gesture. Lucky they don't have that rule in the ufc. Probably 40% of them do it after a win and that fine would be about 1/3 of their earnings.

His suspension for the wild card game is more a message to the team then to him.

I get what you are saying and you are 100% correct.

Nobody cares what he thinks about himself. Everyone else thinks he's a fucking asshole. When someone tries to tell you the sky is orange when you're looking right at it, and you know it's blue -- then that person is a sociopath.

Get a grip; he plays football and has made some "dirty" hits that plenty of people don't think were dirty at all.

Sometimes I just wonder about shit though.

For example; before Suh stepped on Rogers leg, Rogers went down after a touch down
pass and then went into the locker room.
The whole time I was like "he's just showing these mofos why his contract must be bigger". :1orglaugh

And then Rogers comes back into the game just like the "hero movie" shit and battles for the victory and the villain (Suh) attacks the vulnerable leg of Achilles, er I mean Rogers.

This stomp/suspension and story is only going to make more people watch the next game.

I'm so skeptical these days about anything on TV.
