Feedback welcome: xtraffic.co - pornstar/cam status checker
 

Hey guys,

Have been working in "stealth" mode for the last 3-4 months on an idea I had a while back and struggling a little with conversions and figured I'd take it public in case anyone has any ideas/suggestions before pulling the plug on this initiative.

In a nutshell we've built a service that does the following:

1. User loads video on tube with model
2. We check to see if model is online (webcams.com/livejasmin/streamate/naked.com/etc.)
3. If pornstars online -> notify user
4. User clicks url (with our affiliate account)

From a technical standpoint we're pretty proud with what we've built. It currently serves over 130 requests/second (nodejs for the win!) and even places a cookie that will notify users if a model is online from a video they watched 3 weeks ago.

We've made a few sales here and there but nothing like what I expected. Currently getting around 700 clicks a day through to cam providers of what I'd consider highly qualified traffic yet we're just not seeing the sales (played with both PPS & REVSHARE).

We had a whole roadmap of ideas but I can't justify continuing to invest resource in this idea unless we can figure out how to make money from it.

Looking for:

• Feedback/ideas/suggestions
• Bizdev: strategic partners to help build this out. Cam providers, Experienced affiliate marketers, Tubes, Models...
• Willing to sell our db/codebase to anyone willing to take this project over. Just looking to recoup development costs (circa 5.000 USD)

I know there are a bunch of talented peeps here, and I really believe this project could go somewhere with the right connections/vision.

• It's a NEW monetisation strategy that doesn't eat into existing revenue streams (banners, pops, etc.)
• It's USEFUL to the user
• Everyone is aligned (tubes/cam providers/models/program managers...)
