Question about blogger
So hoping you good folk can help me with an answer. I recently started using blogger to post blogs for my phone sex company. Yanno the same kind SEO guys do, keyword linked to site blah blah. Anyways it was brought to my attention by an employee that blogger no longer allowed adult company blogs. Well I had read the FAQ and basically it said adult content was allowed with the warning alert up. However as I dig deeper in the forums I am seeing affiliate linking is not allowed. Which I am not doing. Links to generate profit is not allowed which is questionable if that is what I am doing or not I suppose. I am seeing lots of porn blogs and lots of porn business blogs but just because they are getting away with it doesn't mean its allowed.
So can someone let me know if what I am doing is ok on Blogger. Just simple blogs with a dirty picture and a keyword linked to my phone sex site. |
Basically anything explicit may result in termination.
Haven't checked their terms recently, but last time I did (a few years ago) they did say just what you posted. HOWEVER, there seem to have been a major crack-down on porn, on blogger, for the past year or so. Many webmasters have lost old accounts, because blogger tightened their scrutiny of adult sites. Not saying these weren't running affiliate links, but I doubt it ALL of them were. Anyway, if you wanna stay on the safe side, do it the same way you'd do it on Facebook. Post non-nude or censored images, and link to some softcore landing page, or even non-nude. In fact, I'd split-test between softcore and non-nude. If you choose your content wisely, non-nude should actually perform better. Is this your first time using blogger for this? If so, what's your purpose behind doing so, to drive traffic to your sites, or to simply increase the number of backlinks to them? If the former, you'd still need your blogger blog to get traffic from somewhere, before syphoning it off to your money sites. |
see sig for freehost (Adult Friendly)

A domain name is only a few bucks, WordPress is free and there's really cheap virtual hosting available.
You need a minimum investment to get money in adult business. |
Blogger has been cracking down on blogs with links to porn sites and monetized adult sites. A phone sex site would be considered a monetized site. Best to send these links to a neutral landing page if using Blogger has some strategic value to you.

Use those pages as parasites. You can throw an ungodly amount of links at them and google doesnt slap them (yet) and then link those to wherever.
Two clicks from porn is safe. |
It is funny most of the spam I get submitted to me is from Blogger blogs and a lot of it is from phone sex companies. I think a lot of them have some type of bot that registers the account because as soon as I ban one the same person is back with the identical content on another Blogger URL. I just eventually got smart and banned any submissions from Blogger URLs.

you will get deleted eventually

Get cheap hosting and a couple of domain names...I mean you can get all that started for $20 or less...use Godaddy's $1 domain coupons (and transfer them at renewal time) and get cheap shared hosting or a VPS.

Ok ty for all the answers. I wasn't using Blogger because it is free. I was using it because I "heard" Google gives a small SEO boost for their specific products.
I have been contemplating opening up a couple blog sites and I guess to really get good value out of them SEO wise I would need to set them up on different IPs. Quote:

One of my freelancers spams the shit out of various bloggers with an affilliate link in every post and many of them every day. He isn't even flagged for adult content, but his bloggers stay active since 2010. ... go figure. |

In fact I saw a tablet with icons for facebook, twitter, blogger amazon, ebay.. etc.. etc. Today's Internet is quickly becoming nothing more than icon clicking and thumb scrolling. |

Someone doesn't use a social network to find phone sex, dude. They go to Google, type in "phone sex sexy" or "hot local girls on the phone" and click the first thing they see. Think about the psychology of someone that's actually looking for this type of thing. |

It's all going to mobile and APPs these days. Therefore face the facts, people aren't surfing the net the same way they used to. People today click "like" because they're too lazy to type out a text message and most can't even be bothered to read. So getting someone to enter a domain name is getting a lot harder. Next add that browsers are flagging sites with certain words as "unsafe". Plus that most people are too stupid to deactivate the anti-porn controls on most search engines... And finally Google is gong to give greater weight to site like Blogger than some unknown shmuck. So like it or not... It's getting a lot harder for a domain to even be seen. Perverts hang out in circles. Someone selling phone sex would be better off trying to integrate with an existing community like minded masturbators then they would be trying to recreate one from scratch. In short Adapt or Die. |
Blogger can delete your sites, just like Tumblr (they deleted 300 regular xxx sites, for no reason). I would recommend sticking to something like DirtySexBlog.com

Being I own a phone sex company, a profitable one for many years I feel quite confidant in sharing my 2 cents on this little debate. Blogger, FB, Twitter , Tumblr or any other "social network" brings us next to zero actual paying callers. The only reason we participate in any of that is for SEO. The entire reason this post was created.
We post daily on all of those social networks. When I look at my analytics page I will see something like yesterday on one of my sites we had 627 direct visitors, 285 google / organic etc etc and finally after scrolling thru several more I see m.facebook.com/referral 4 and twitter 2. So yeah social networking isn't even a whole percent of our traffic. What little traffic we do get from them has a huge bounceback rate. It is all about google, bing, etc. |
Thank you I will check them out!

Blame it on the tubes.
porn blogs are dead Tubes took all the Top serps so now social sites are like fuck porn whereas before they were probably getting 100x more traffic front and loved it |
Not used Blogger in years.
