I always liked him, to soon for that to happen.

Start Scott was a special soul. He defied all odds. When all the odds where against him, he didn't give up. A couple of years ago he ran in a mud-obstacle race with me...Struggling with cancer, he still pushed himself. He finished.

I woke up from a sound sleep suddenly this morning, tv on (as usual, LOL!), and at that moment...ESPN reported the first news of his passing.
From 'back when', I always enjoyed his on camera personality...but, when he got diagnosed, and was so open and strong about it, he really gained my admiration & respect.

My wife's father lost his battle with cancer too. They pulled the plug moments ago.

My dad died from cancer 10 years ago at Christmastime.
Cancer does suck...
