so basically what google is doing now is ....

to give best seo juice to biggest (mostly illegal) tubes, on every given adult keyword.....

xnxx and pornhub get it...

hadden 01-06-2015 08:10 AM

rewarding retention, that's what google does

ITraffic 01-06-2015 08:14 AM

they favor those sites which give surfers what they wants (free full length videos) and sites that spend the GDP of small countries on SEO and backlinks, yes.

TeenCat 01-06-2015 08:23 AM

tubes and torrents ... i cannot get my site into google for month, but i see torrents getting all the serps with "1 hour ago" listings ... seriously, someone have to bomb the whole google, few years and nobody will remember this thieving piracy shit ... tpb have been closed, and movie industry said it had almost no impact on the movie sales, why, when there is google, which have all and everything what every thieving loser needs? :2 cents: fucked up shit going on there ...

ITraffic 01-06-2015 08:25 AM

diversify your traffic sources or it just leads to heartbreak and the homeless shelter.

Anti-Piracy Rolling Update

On Friday the 17th of October, Google announced changes to the results being shown for search queries on media that could be pirated. They are in the process of testing new ad formats in search queries to help people find legitimate sources to purchase their media from. Currently the results are only in the US, but in time make their way globally.

SEO for the little guy is dead. Seriously. You guys can stop posting all these threads.

IF you want traffic from Google as a one man show you can do the following:

1) Smash and Grab - Spam, Spam, Spam on throw away domains. Rinse and repeat. Hard work. It's a grind. It's still possible.

2) Focus on very targeted long tail keywords. Much smaller traffic, but more qualified and achievable.

Unless you have the resources to build content behemoths, that the rest of the peers in your space are willing to link to, you are never going to beat the new algos. It just won't happen.

Quit crying. Google owes you nothing. Get that in your head and you've already taken the first step towards being successful at SEO again post Panda and Penguin.

What google has done this past year is talk up their algorithm and retention while quietly moving to a manual internal voting system where google staff review thousands of random queries and have a weighted vote . High ranking manually reviewed sites are crawled non-stop and rank top for just about anything in their niche, the rest of us fight it out for scraps :2 cents:

ITraffic 01-06-2015 09:54 AM

or parasite off the authority google gives to some sites. take a look at any serp you are shooting for ideas on what sites you can use that google loves.

ITraffic 01-06-2015 09:58 AM

google owns the biggest tube. they are never going to penalize sites that use that model, in fact the opposite.

Playing the Google SEO game will get you burned. Even if you were good at it back in 2007-2011 how does it feel to wake up one day and see all your sites - and 90% of your income - GONE from Google or dropped to page 50? Vanished, poof, bye-bye?

Find other ways to get traffic and you will be happier and more profitable. Once I saw that Mind Geek has 4 floors of SEO people, well the game is over. Move along.

TeenCat 01-06-2015 11:38 AM

you people are mixing two things ... it is not like you lost a friend, but the old friend became an enemy! dont you see the difference? if there is other affiliates who knows how better, no fucking problem, but the serps are filled with piracy! friend became an enemy! it is not like we have adapt or die, but it is time to fight! google is biggest search engine offering your content or content of programs you promote, for free! do you see the difference finaly? :helpme :2 cents: you can try to find any other ways, differ your traffic and i dont know what else, but if google will be offering all for free, nobody will pay for the content! you got it, finaly? :2 cents: and last one month google is more pro piract than ever been before ... :2 cents:

Maybe affiliates can help with the DMCAs :2 cents:

seeric 01-06-2015 11:46 AM

Google was never anyone's friend.

I guess my only point is, I see these subjects beat to death day in and day out.

If you count on Google to pay your bills, and that is your only way to make money, you're screwed.

thats what i have been thinking, that affiliates cannot do almost nothing, only program owners can, and so far i see the only owners who seriously care are the gay ones ... :2 cents: i dont understand why adult industry do not unite and not sue google for all the pirated content google is putting on top serps ... cannot be that hard to define words like siterip or torrent and give those sites 10+ pages penalty, for example ... but, if owners dont care or not even try to find a solution, then ... :upsidedow

read my post right ... i am not talking about me relly on google traffic, but about millions of surfers who find their content for free on first places in google, before original source or paysite ... you can be social media or any other traffic sources guru, but if google will be offering everything for free, like he started heavily month or so ago, you will end up in homeless shelter one day too ... or of course, you can adapt and start selling torrent and tube traffic to all those traffic companies who are doing i dont even know what ... :)

Affiliates can collect together offending links and email them to the sponsor. Yeah, if we unite that's got to be a good thing :2 cents:

Google just wants to give their users what they want. They are doing that. What the tubes are doing is not illegal. The DMCA protects them. Google cares only about law. Legally, they are just fine. They have always been legal, whether we wanted them to be or not. Tubes are not stealing. Not under the letter of the law. Google gives not one shit that the tubes skirt the law under the DMCA safe harbor provision. That is a fact.

I have had 10's of thousands of SERPS removed for Vivid though. You can look it up in the Google stats for removals. Even if you remove all offending content, you will still not rank above them. They are scoring too high with all other Google score variables.

:)

If affiliates are trying to rank for sponsors that have all their content on the tubes in an unauthorized manner, then can and should send the links to the sponsors. Assuming the sponsors even care any more. A lot of them gave up and walked away.

jscott 01-06-2015 01:28 PM

Google been doing this for a long long time already

TeenCat 01-06-2015 01:31 PM

now it is not more about tubes, but more about torrents. first pages are filled with torrents, and i dont understand how google can honor those pages and sites with top serps, when there is nothing else than link to torrent file and short description of the link. where he see the value of the link, to put it higher than original site? and, torrents have been here for long time, but never got that high rated serps as nowadays ... :2 cents: i bet people at google are happy wankers, but never paid for porn :2 cents:

I can tell you exactly how. Inbound links. Those torrent and file locker links get shared a million places.

Just say for example you have 10000 links to a download link on a torrent or file locker for a particular piece of content. That is 10000 links (people) telling Google "This site/link is the authority for this term "Training Day Movie" on the web. It must be of course? 10000 people are linking to this file/site.

Now, would you have even 10000 links to a movie on a tube? No. Because they monetize differently.

IF you apply the very simple Google top 5 rules or so, you will see very quickly why things rank.

I think they're trying to strip porn of all value.

People still want it, but for how much longer if it becomes utterly worthless? Online sexuality can be pushed elsewhere, and evolve in a way that could be described as post-porn.

ITraffic 01-06-2015 01:52 PM

google's unspoken business model is to devalue content and slap their ads on and around others content, wtf would it be any different when it comes to porn?

Mickey_ 01-06-2015 02:34 PM

TL;DR version:

The big G is a profit-oriented business that cares about the interests of their stakeholders which includes their shareholders and their users but does not include content creators.
And the world keeps spinning around. :pimp
