If you want to insult others then that is absolutely your right to do so.
BUT... If someone kicks your ass for doing it then you only have yourself to blame.

I think the point the person was trying to make is that the cartoons are more about
confronting/daring Muslims rather than needing the cartoon to illustrate a message.

The only message is "Hey Muslims, right in your face, now what can you do about it".

It's like a fat chip on the shoulder with taunting and it reeks of arrogance.

The cartoonist doing the Muhammad cartoons are fighting for their right to be pricks.

That's not a right I care to die for or subject other people to danger over.

Given the well documented attacks because of "Blasphemous Cartoons";
doing the cartoons in defiance without regard for collateral damage to innocent others is
a selfish act of bravado.

I just watched the uncensored video on YT where the cop gets shot in the head.

I don't want to turn into wehateporn but... he's shot already when he's laying on floor but there's no blood. Then you see the guy shoot him at close range but the bullet seems to bounce near his head on the pavement.
He collapses and goes still but there is still no blood.

I know squat about guns but surely if you get shot by an automatic rifle at close range, there's going to be some blood right?

If the newspaper had exposed corruption, war crimes, torture, etc. I would be supporting them 100%. But I'm not going to defend someone that was just being a prick for the sake of being a prick. Plus everyone damn well knows the newspaper published the cartoons not for "Freedom of Speech" but to cash in on the controversy and make a dollar.

France was one of most loud countries against Ghadaffi, Assad and Sadam. But those guys kept everything under control and there were no such violence and problems. These fucking terrorists are some of those guys that France supported. unfortunately, ordinary people died....what bother me is that attackers are free. If they manage to escape police in the middle of Paris, we could expect more attack like this.
