Marriage and being a father has told me a lot. I am a very neat, organized person, who plans out everything. My wife is just the opposite, and our kid never picks anything up. I have learned the fine art of compromise.

You don't tend to get slapped when you treat others with respect and are polite.

Walking around in life with your fists up always ready for a fight is not only rude and disrespectful. But it also tends to attract assholes that are looking for a fight.

It is a good code to live by if you live within a civil society. Unfortunately, today, many people are not civil and look upon civility as a weakness.
