jw player loading slow
Does anyone else have a problem with JW player loading mp4's slowly? Is there a way to start it to play before the video is completely loaded? Any help is appreciated!

Is it the player that is loading slow, js library not downloading fast?, or the video that don't play before it is downloaded?
If the video does not start before it is loaded, make sure that the preload flag is none . If it's not that, check your encoding. If the metadata (bits that contains info about the video) is at the end of the file, it will need to be downloaded before it starts playing. |

If anything, cram some RAM into your server...but from my end, they were, or seemed, just fine. |

I was looking to have it start playing in the first 5-10 seconds not after a min or so of messing with it. |
I thought flash was dead.

Of course, I have a really fast internet connection, which may have something to do with it... but, it's 'working right'... |

I do not know if that is a joke or serious but we are not using flash. I would just like it to play faster than having to wait so long. |
yep, it takes forever to play a video on your sites.
you need to get a real host, not that crap you are currently using. |

mp4 loads all the way before it will play because you don't have a media server on your web server. Flash media server, wowza, lighttpd etc... One of the above must be installed. Or you must use a "moov atom" script to put mp4 meta data at the front of each video. If that doesn't fix the problem then something else is going on. |
