Post Gifs On Twitter!

Hey guys,

I've worked with quite a few people on building up their Twitter accounts, and one big thing people don't do enough is post gifs on Twitter instead of static images or even just plain text tweets.

Check out my Twitter:
Sex Vines (@sexvinesco) | Twitter

Full of gifs, and why? Because they get clicked on more and retweeted/favorited more. That means more traffic to your site and followers to your page.

Just a simple, but useful tip. Post some gifs! :thumbsup

It's be better if twitter auto played them imo, people are lazy in general.

Good advice, been growing Twitter/Tumblr accounts with GIF only and it's pretty efficient.

For anyone interested, have a look at this tool (http)blog(dot)bahraniapps(dot)com/gifcam/ , very nice to create gifs and avoid re-using/reposting always the same ones.

Also worth having a look at (http)www(dot)lcdf(dot)org/gifsicle/] to optimize GIF size, nice one to work on batches of files. The optimize command is very straightforward:

Code:

gifsicle -O2 orig-animation.gif -o new-animation.gif

Do you only retweet sexyvines tweets or other followers etc?

I have many huge followers, @bmore_horny, @3rdalarm, @allamateurblog & many more. I appreciate the retweets from my friends @pornobrazil. Because of this, I'm very much happy to retweet & tweet for people to follow them.
Happy for a followback & a shoutout occasionally if you're happy to retweet some of my images & gifs.

See sig for my twitter x

People will click on an unusual and provoking pic. NOt necessarily a gif.

If only it would be that easy. I think it's a matter of how your visitors are used to perceive your content. If you make them click more often, you can expect they will click in the future. If you just post gifs, I don't think you can get more than 1% from twitter to websites.

I can give you an example for me: super hot photo/gif, 50 (rts+favs), pinned, clickbait, only 10 clicks. Either my fans are weirds, or they just want to browse twitter and that's all.

I would have to agree with you. Just posting gifs wont increase your followers, content will. Depending on what kind of content you are providing will lure good followers that will also tweet, retweet, fav a lot of posts, which increases your exposure.
