List 3 things Hillary Clinton has done for the USA.

as an attorney, first lady, senator, or secretary of state, what has she accomplished for America?

Babaganoosh 01-11-2015 11:00 AM

Beats me. Why not do your own research?

i just read that wiki and there's not one single accomplishment she's done for the USA in that entire wiki.

thanks for the backfire lolz.

dyna mo 01-11-2015 11:11 AM

as an attorney she didn't argue any SC cases or make any contributions to law

as a first lady her healthcare reform failed.

as a senator she didn't sponsor any significant legislation

as a sec of state she did not broker any peace deals.

Slappin Fish 01-11-2015 11:32 AM

She racked up some serious frequent flyer miles, can we mark that down as a win for America?

EliteWebmaster 01-11-2015 11:34 AM

She's a bitch. End of story. No wonder Bill had to stray.
Read the numerous stories on how she treats Secret Service, white house aids, workers, etc... and you will see the kind of person she is.

From

Hillary Clinton Can Stand On Her Own Accomplishments - US News

Quote:

While the Clinton health care plan failed, it certainly set the groundwork for the health care law we have today, the Affordable Care Act.

She played a leading role in advocating the creation of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, which provides state support for children whose parents cannot provide them with health coverage.

She promoted nationwide immunization against childhood illnesses. She also played a leading role in creation of the Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Foster Care Independence Act.

She encouraged older women to seek a mammogram for early detection of breast cancer (which is covered by Medicare) and successfully sought to increase research funding for prostate cancer and childhood asthma at the NIH.

She worked to investigate illnesses that were reportedly affecting Veterans of the Gulf War; now commonly known as Gulf War Syndrome.

Hillary created an Office on Violence Against Women at the Department of Justice. She is also the first first lady to hold a post graduate degree, and she traveled to more countries than any other first lady had at that time.

As a U.S. senator, she was the first first lady to be elected to this office.

She was instrumental in securing $21 billion in funding for the World Trade Center site's redevelopment.

She subsequently took a leading role in investigating the health issues that 9/11 first responders were facing.

After visiting soldiers in Iraq, Clinton noted that the insurgency had failed to disrupt the democratic elections held earlier, and that parts of the country were functioning well. Noting that war deployments were draining regular and reserve forces, she cointroduced legislation to increase the size of the regular Army by 80,000 soldiers to ease the strain and supported retaining and improving health benefits for veterans.

All of the above was done in her first term.

As secretary of state, Clinton visited 112 countries, helping to repair a badly damaged U.S. reputation.

She advocated an expanded role in global economic issues for the State Department and cited the need for an increased U.S. diplomatic presence, especially in Iraq, where the Defense Department had conducted diplomatic missions.

Hillary Clinton unveiled the Global Hunger and Food Security program, prevailed over Vice President Biden to send an additional 21,000 troops to Afghanistan, saved the signing of a Turkish-Armenian accord, and assisted the president with major decisions as to the U.S. position with regard to the revolution in Egypt and the decision to use military force in Libya.

I'd vote for her even if she was a republican.

Meanwhile, republicans can look forward to more of this

Rochard 01-11-2015 11:49 AM

My biggest problem with Hillary is that she.... Was a political insider her entire life and intentionally checked all of the right boxes to ensure a potential run at the White House.

They looked at their "best options" for the "quickest route" (NY Senator) and then Secretary of State. Why didn't they return to Arkansas and run for the Senate there? Because she had a better chance of winning there, and would be taken more seriously than if she was a Senator from Arkansas.

Then again, with her track record Senator, Secretary of State, former First Lady, former first chick of Arkansas, combined with with political insider track record and work history... Maybe she would be okay. I mean, Obama had a lot less of a record and he didn't fuck things up too bad.

I'll wait until she starts running to pass judgement.

2MuchMark 01-11-2015 11:52 AM

If Jeb Bush becomes the republican nominee, Hillary will have a tough time winning. So far, he seems to be pretty smart.

If Romney or anyone else goes up against her, she will have a field day wiping their noses in shit. It will be the most entertaining beat-downs ever seen on US TV.

But what does that mean exactly? What is a political insider, and why is she one? She has been in politics her entire life. Is this by itself, bad? Is being an "insider", because she's been in politics, a bad thing?

that's actually a pretty good answer. :1orglaugh

so just by being able to not say stupid shit in comparison to palin, she's accomplished something. :thumbsup

let's also remember she lost the primary to BO. He doesn't have a real pretty approval rating at the end of his watch, so the dems are going to put up hillary as the PUSA candidate without any memorable achievements and who lost to BO as the 2016 dem candidate for PUSA.

makes sense.

She is qualified because she's a far left liberal woman
Obama was qualified because he is a far left liberal black man

Kinda like leaping over a sidewalk crack.

On a more serious note, Hillary's far from my favorite politician but I'd pick her in a heartbeat over Mitt Wit or yet another Bush.

nico-t 01-11-2015 01:52 PM

who gives a fuck? What has any politician ever done for anyone? They just sit there to make you pay more, go die overseas for their money, and generally be their cattle.

Sometimes they do something for us, the people, but only when it's eventually for their own interests (keeping us calm to take more of their shit for example).

The vast majority of her career she was never a leader - She was an employee or the spouse of a elected government official. She was married to the Attorney General of Arkansas, the Governor of Arkansas, and then the President of the United States, which spans more than twenty years of her life.

Just because you were janitor at the high school for twenty years doesn't mean you are qualified to board of education.

I don't like people who are "box checkers". It seems to me like Hillary did the bare minimum to qualify herself to run for president.

I am not passing judgement. I don't follow politics too closely, although there are a few exceptions. For example, I follow Christie because he is such an interesting character (and from NJ, my home state). Other than Hillary, Jeb, and Romney, I couldn't tell you who the front runners would be for the next election. I would just assume wait until we have a confirmed list of names and then a debate or two.

This is a weird argument. She is a career politician. But do you want a non career politician? Obama has suffered some pretty lame years due to the fact he did not know how the US congress worked. Seems having someone who does is a plus.

Personally, i think she has no chance. People don't like her and overall this is a popularity contest.

I like a balance, the country works better. Anything is better than a president with an ego that refuses to work with the other side, even if the other side is in control of congress!

If we get a republican as president, everything will go the way of one party, haven't e had enough of that?

If it comes down to a Jeb Bush vs Hilary election, I'd just stay home on election day. Neither one will be good for the country IMO.

Joshua G 01-11-2015 08:00 PM

what has she done for america?

i spent a couple minutes on this, dug deep into my decades of memory of the clintons, & the best i could come up with was that...

she screwed up her presidential campaign so badly, we were not stuck with her as president for the past 6 years.

& she made the pant-suit fashionable.

it boggles my mind, after being so sick of her after 2008, we have to go through this shit with her again. God forbid she wins. OMG. Please Jeb, please win.

Robbie 01-11-2015 08:03 PM

I don't think I can name three things that any recent person has done for the USA.

Everybody pretty much does things that benefit themselves in one way or another.

I'm thinking the last set of people who really did anything for the country were probably a group of guys that included Jefferson and Washington back in the late 1700's.

That's just it - She isn't a career politician. She was the governor's wife for eight years, then the First Lady for eight years. Then she picked an easy target - an open Senate seat in a good state - that was gong to be an easy win for her. She ran for President based on.... Eight years in a senate seat where she couldn't loose and didn't accomplish anything - Yet you are calling her a "career politician".

I think she does have a chance - she's the obvious front runner for the Democratic party.
