Best Investment For The Next Five Years?

Well here at 2015...... I'm asking what do you predict to be the best thing to buy (at some point in 2015) and to sell at some point in 2020 or to hold for further gains thereafter. Here's one of my calls which is in commodities sector:

Gold and Silver - I'm looking for (greater than) > 100% gain from current levels in both cases. To set the reference point today, currently:

Gold price: $1225 USD per Ounce
Silver price: $16.50 USD per Ounce

So in terms of Gold price, for example, I'm looking for over $2500 USD by 2020.
So in terms of Silver price, for example, I'm looking for over $33 USD by 2020.

If you don't mind risk, Bitcoin. Good chance to gain 100%+. There's also a fair chance to lose 99%.

Maybe oil - Seems obvious that it could reverse and double in less than 5 years. Not sure, I don't follow that sector. But, if it goes much lower I will be interested.

I'm going to go with oil. companies are buying oil and storing it for a 8% return. I guess the future price will gross you 16 percent so you can make at least 8% with no risk

I agree oil will do pretty well from current levels. Someone please post the oil prices so we can look back in 2020, make reference to the 2015 prices and see how far it moved.

Cocoa futures.

tesla.

not because of the cars, but because the huge battery factory tesla is building is going to create new markets for homes & businesses that need electricity storage solutions & reduce dependence on the utility companies.

Even a stocks dummy like me knows oil will go back up.

Sure but will it be the best investment over the next five or more years?

since opec wants to crush the fracking revolution don't hold your breath. don't be surprised that by the time they are done the world has moved on energy wise. nothing lasts forever and surprising reversals happen all the time.

Real estate. 10% cash on cash with a 3% yearly appreciation. 25% down means an overall return of 22% which gives you more then a double in the next 5 years.

we're going to squeeze every last mother lovin drop of oil outta this planet.

moreover, oil will rebound and skyrocket 10x faster than its dropping and frackers who recently reinevsted will be able to cover their leveraged to the gills asses. fracking is profitable for many frackers @ $55 also. a natural event, a terrorist event, a refinery fire, politics, a wind change and oil is back at $100 a barrel and fracking is just another way to get it.

dyna mo 01-12-2015 12:25 PM

oh and weed is the best investment for the next 5 years.
