how do you guys get links on there shared? do you self promote or some other method?

We use a share on reddit button. We also have our own sub reddits. I have gotten a good amount of traffic but haven't REALLY researched it.

Try making your own subreddit. It's work but if successful will bring some added traffic albeit not the best quality.

Also you need to watch your karma too, otherwise your new posts at your own subreddit wont get published.

You need to be an active and legitimate user there, and not just add any links, anywhere, as this does not work. Find the best sub-reddits, add good links with good titles, and count on people voting on it, which results in high amounts of traffic to your sites. You need to work on it on a regular basis too. If you have multiple accounts, you need to use proxies.

If you use affiliate websites, the content that you are promoting / sharing, needs to be very good too. Biggest and the most popular paysites dont seem to work very good for sales, I would say. Try something like VdBucks.com, and see how it goes. I've been making quite a lot of good sales with them, as far as Reddit, and other social media sites.
