Bitcoin:: Which BTC ASIC Miner Should i get ?

i am really willing to jump on bitcoin mining and ANTMINER S3 / S5 looks good for now for low budget.

not looking for fast cash but if btc difficulty goes down in future then i guess i can make few bucks or at least few bitcoins.

just looking something which will run 24x7 and make few $$$ .

What are your thoughts ?

1) is it too late now to jump on BTC ?
2) should i invest in something else other than ANTMINER S3 / S5 [something ~$500 ]
3) should i mine other coins instead of BTC ?
4) will there be any profit. ?

thanks for your time ladies.

About a year ago I was looking into doing the same thing and from everything I read at the time, unless you're willing to sink a crazy amount into the start-up...you can't make anything. It's very expensive to get into.

I agree 100% with edgeprod. If you want to do mining go buy a couple of contracts.

I'd advise against this, also. If they can't make money with their machines, why would you be able to? Especially with less knowledge.

I used to contract mine out because I travel too much to be on top of them constantly. I assure you most people are in a different boat, and just looking to take advantage of people with less knowledge.

If you want BTC, buy it. :2 cents:

we stopped just about a year ago. I assume it has not gotten any better yet and probably worse. Ran strong for years though but would be pissing in to the wind now

Because for some reason you want to throw money away mining :) That is why I said if you want to mine do this.

I don't, personally. My miners are profitable, but only through tough investments of capital and time. I was advising him. By the way, Skype me.

I had 2 machines mining and made just a few. The power consumption and wear and tear didn't equal the value. With the value of Bitcoin fluctuating I'd tell you to invest in valuable domains to flip instead.

Plutocracy 01-18-2015 11:23 AM

I read about this a lot when it first started and I kinda wish I would have jumped on it :(

I was also wondering if it was to late

Thanks for the info :)

DAMNMAN 01-18-2015 03:31 PM

NONE.... Buy bitcoins directly... cheaper

edgeprod 01-18-2015 03:35 PM

Definitely buy BTC under $200 instead, and do not mine at the current value. That said, I can sell you Titans at a decent price, if you're willing to buy 25-50 at a time. Now that I'm concentrating on the accelerator, mining doesn't make a lot of sense to spend time on with BTC sub-$200.

Listen to edgeprod :)
