as per title.. easy option to disable user addition/edits/spam a must, se friendly urls a bonus

We experimented with some and all I came away with is that there is nothing easy about wiki scripts.

The secret appears to be have someone that is readily familiar with wiki to set it up for you.

I second that. All the wiki scripts are necessarily complicated. I was trying to build a wiki site, tested dozens of different script, and all of them were way too confusing, so I ended up deciding to quit the project. Go find someone with recommendations on freelancing sites, if not someone you already know.

there is the one used by Wikipedia itself - MediaWiki - I used it in the past but found that it was hammered so much by spammers that it was hurting my hosting.
