No shit. Chrome is @ version 39 so it seems to be a race among the two.

Same here.getting too frustrating .It's either FF or chrome.

I just recently switched from chrome back to Firefox. On 3 different computers I noticed huge lagging, memory and cpu usage, etc. So I switched to FF and all 3 computers went back to normal. No crashes with the latest update yet.

RummyBoy 01-21-2015 11:42 AM

Techy people seem to generally prefer Firefox to the other browsers.....

brassmonkey 01-21-2015 11:44 AM

RummyBoy 01-31-2015 08:15 AM

Which Firefox version is optimum for stability and security?

brassmonkey 01-31-2015 08:21 AM

dont risk it :2 cents: some of it is security.

seeandsee 01-31-2015 08:27 AM

i have auto update, did't even notice its 35 now

i think it's more stable than before on some massive flash sites

Rochard 01-31-2015 08:41 AM

I've been using Chrome now for.... years. I don't have any issues with it crashing.

Right now as I speak Chrome is up on monitor one showing my gmail, monitor two on gfy and half a dozen other screens, and monitor three is running a movie in Netflix. No issues.

Youtube is HTML5 now by default.

Hentaikid 01-31-2015 09:31 AM

I get a couple of crashes a day no matter what, if I wasn't used to my load out of extensions I'd have switched a while ago.

At least the tab saving works so I can just jump back in

CPA-Rush 01-31-2015 09:54 AM

broswer is light , the ui is not fully customized ,the tabs are ugly .

......and many more

Google Chrome

FF 35.01 and Shockwave Flash 12.1.6.156 beta - used to get at least one "No longer responding" daily but now have the most stable FF platform I can remember.

iamBoogieman 02-01-2015 01:10 AM

Chrome still the best.

Hentaikid 02-01-2015 04:16 AM

Chrome makes my computer freeze for like half a minute.

Sure, my computer is an old piece of shit but ff at least crashes quickly and lets me get on with things :)

djroof 02-01-2015 04:38 AM

Still using Chrome...

Barry-xlovecam 02-01-2015 08:21 AM

35.0.1 with 18 tabs open (for days)

Code:

09:37 AM-barry@{}:~$ ps aux | grep firefox
barry    4452  8.0  4.0 2240628 667996 ?      Sl  Jan28 398:46 /usr/lib/firefox/firefox
barry    12448  0.0  0.0  15944  928 pts/5    S+  10:15  0:00 grep --color=auto firefox

Chrome is a lot faster on DNS lookups for some reason.
My Browsers do not crash lately in general.
