Are links / off site seo the most important part of xxx sites?
Let's say I am starting a Wordpress blog, and I will fill it with 20,000 posts, over time (quite fast). I will have a domain name, which is 1 year old, possibly around 20k indexed pages in Google.com, and no links. I am assuming I would not be getting too many visitors at this point, still.
Does it mean, that the most important part of this type of project is to target keywords, and work on getting links / off site seo, in order to be successful / make money. I think it is, but I kind of came to the conclusion, that it is not very possible to be successful in this, without ranking sites / doing and being good in seo of xxx sites... Social media are suppose to be important too, but what is it that needs to be done, in order to get max traffic and income? This would be babe / pornstars niche. I read about people running blogs, and they talk about large numbers of visitors to their sites. I remember this Indian niche Wordpress blog, which is one of the busiest xxx sites, I dont remember the name. Is the answer to this seo -> getting links (also domain age, index count), or not necessarily? # # # Edit: I am not sure if it is this one, but the following site gets 65,000 uv a day - Desi MMS Sex Videos ~ Indian Porn Blog-Free Scandals Download. I did not look at the stats or details, but it is probably link building, which makes these sites so popular on the Internet... |
meta tags should be your #1 concern for SEO in 2015. Unless you have that in order and use the best meta tag SEO tools you are simply not going to compete in today's darwin-on-steroids search environment.

the most important part of seo is patience. give your efforts a chance to work. then, collect and compare data.

Links do matter: good links on authority sites (placed in content with value to the user) help, bad links on shitty sites (placed in footers, sidebars and link farms) hurt.
Keywords are still important, but we're going towards semantics and meaning/idea driven content... Even with the best keywords your content could bring the wrong meaning... A general rule: make excellent content and the links will come. |

- assign pornstar names as categories - add a lot of posts (mix one picture + text / gallery / video / multiple pictures + text) - work on social media promotion (on a regular basis) - wait for domain to age, lets say 1 year - build up number of posts / number of indexed pages in Google and other search engine sites to up to 10k or 20k - build links (dont wait for them to come, but build them; category names could be expanded further into something like "sunny leone anal", "sunny leone interracial", and so on). - get traffic links / referrals The way I see it, the last part is the most important one. If I would not do it, traffic would not come... This is kind of obvious, what I am talking about in this thread, but I asked, anyway. |
What I am asking here is, if the only way to make such website successful (high traffic) is to rank for a lot of keywords like "sunny leone blowjob", "lisa ann interracial", "kenzi marie handjob" (it does not have to be exactly these, as it may be competitive) on the first page / first three results of Google.com... I mean, I can be getting people from social sites, as long as I would be working on it, but the goal would be to make real money with this type of site (something like Freeones.com).

ranking on the first page for "free porn" should send a lot of traffic according to my SEO tools.

Quality inbound links are extremely important. It doesn't matter how amazing your site or content is, without quality links you won't be able to rank well for high traffic keywords.

Traffic is one thing, you don't need all the SE traffic (unless you're selling pop-ups or banner impressions), you need traffic relevant to your content and just the one that will convert. Think of CRO... SEO and organic traffic is just one channel. Work on other channels as well: direct/bookmark traffic, referrer traffic, social traffic, paid advertising traffic. It's known that Google takes site's own traffic into consideration. It's hard to expect getting good SE traffic to a site that gets 0 hits on its own... |
