I really really really really really really really want to know what my competitors sales are
My competitor has been around since 2001 and just about everyone who likes the niche is on his site.
Knowing how much money his site earned in 2014 would be a big help to me in knowing what my potential earnings could be or if I should give up and move to something else. Is there any trick of knowing what his site made? Like public records or something? He lives in Spain. Yes I'm serious, knowing how much it made would be life changing for me |
what niche? how much traffic?
|
I am sorry but there is simply no way to tell what a site earns by looking at public records or even Alexa rankings.
You would need to know: Daily traffic Daily sales Conversion ratio Where the traffic is coming from (paid or organic) If paid traffic how much is he spending to get his sales? Bottom line is if you are not excited about the niche, or are worried about your site's earning potential compared to someone else, then your focus is not where it should be. Competition is one thing but what I focus on is what can I do to make profits. At the end of the day I don't care what someone else is earning because I can't tell anyway. LOL Just assume he is making shit and you will kill it. If you are not happy with the money you are bringing in then that's the only real issue. Good luck man! |
If it's a spanish company you can try a service like Información de empresas | Informes de empresas | Datos de empresas y registros empresas - eInforma they give you reports on company info, dunno how accurate they are but they do mention financials
|
Break into their office and steal their computers...you will probably find the answers you seek.
If it's good enough for the government then it's good enough for you. |
become an affiliate and see how well their conversion is and guess their traffic from Alexa and extrapolate from that info

pretend to be an interested buyer and get all the financials.
|
Why not just send an email to the owner? The worst they can do is tell you to go fuck yourself. And then who cares.

So would everyone.
If you already treated him badly, he isn't going to give you his financials and, if it is not a public company, they won't just be out there for you to see. |

Consult a psychic.
I have a brother-in-law who found out from a psychic the wife and I referred him to that he had a sister living in Florida. Turns out that his father stole him from his mother, sold him to another couple and ended up moving to the Chicago suburbs. He had blocked it all out with the exception of having strange dreams and a vague notion he used to have brother. No bullshit. |
Tell me your competitor i may be able to give you an idea
