We're already working on our next project - a really, really built out facebookesque social networking script.

:thumbsup

VikingMan 01-28-2015 09:04 AM

Well hot holy hell I am going to take advantage of that lower priced script. No reason for people to buy those inferior scrips unless people just like to waste their money. :thumbsup

Something like that yeah, except a bit more complex involving node.js and so forth.

iSpyCams 01-28-2015 04:40 PM

Wow nice going on the pricedrop. I feel like starting a new business so I can buy it again!

Looking forward to the social engine, LMK if you need beta testers for that, I am about to add a social network function to my network and would love to give it a spin, from my experience you are a lot easier to deal with for support than anybody out there, especially in mainstream where most of the social media scripts are.

the Shemp 01-28-2015 04:56 PM

a new tgp script? ...
good news indeed... :thumbsup

Best-In-BC 01-28-2015 05:26 PM

This script is awesome, takes some knowledge to do the design work your self, but by far the best thing since his tube script.

Miguel T 01-28-2015 07:25 PM

That looks amazing Konrad! Congratz and good luck with it!

Indeed. Looks great as is but hopefully there will soon be designers with portfolio with various layouts.
Awesome work.

ruff 01-28-2015 08:51 PM

Sweet as pie. I am going to have to get this script to replace the custom script you made for me a few years ago. It looks awesome!

Best-In-BC 01-28-2015 08:57 PM

Yeah, we need more templates!

Warlock77 01-29-2015 06:25 AM

This script is awesome, good luck!

hausarzt 01-29-2015 07:09 AM

Looks really nice. Seems to be more than just a tgp. Almost has a community style. I might spend some money soon.

Best-In-BC 01-29-2015 10:13 PM

Bump for conrad

lucas 01-29-2015 11:41 PM

You mean where you have a listing of categories, then click on one and get galleries for that category? Yes.

And your script auto-pick best (most clicked) picture from category page and creates bigger version of that picture for index page? :)

Good idea, Im moving everything over to his two scripts. Should have done it years ago.

Best-In-BC 01-30-2015 09:15 AM

Anyone wants a template idea, there are some in here, category based and a tgp outlay style.

ruff 01-30-2015 10:46 AM

Thanks for admin access. This script is exactly what I need. I like the options I have with content. It looks like the perfect script to replace the one I'm using now. Just have to figure out how to do the old switcheroo. It's simple and well designed. Very modern looking admin area.

x12media 01-30-2015 10:53 AM

looks good :-)

Yeah, my thoughts egzackly .

Pretty sad that this isn't that big of a deal to the people on this forum, just shows how few webmasters are left :(

Shoplifter 02-04-2015 02:10 PM

This is a great script and it's fantastic that Mechbunny are already providing updates with new features.

All I need now is perhaps a new template or two and some trade script integration.

I'm not sure that is the case entirely. I agree there is a lot fewer of us left than previously. The script does indeed look awesome.

In our case, it's a feasibility issue. We are kind of tied to a very heavily modified TGPX which acts as a centralized database. It powers 22 sites, model directories, gallery embeds, and more. It has lots of custom fields and database tables. It generates more than 37,000 TGP templates per day (per model, per niche/keyword, per site, per directory, RSS and XML feeds, etc). Add to that the custom query scripts, cron jobs, etc. that go between the database server and the hosting servers via the PNet and it's just a lot of work to migrate and convert to a new platform.

And when you factor in the idea of per domain licensing versus a server edition, ($50 * 22 sites = $1100 just to add the domains), it's simply not feasible when we have something that is customized and works fine right now.

After some unpleasant experiences with per domain licensing (see TGPX*, Arylia*, Links Organizer, etc.) I've tended to avoid these types of agreements and these days only buy software where it is not limited by domain. Basically, you are paying an ongoing support fee for support/upgrades. But I create test domains, development domains, split testing domains, without having to buy a new domain license.

Were this script priced at $250 to $300 unlimited and then an ongoing support fee, it'd be more attractive to me in that it removes some of the current and future overhead we would encounter while migrating data/sites and developing/testing new ones and new markets.

In the end, it's not for us right now. Perhaps down the road we will revisit it.

Having said all of that wall of text, I think it looks like an amazing script and looking forward to seeing what webmasters come up with. I think it's a great addition as well for those expanding their networks.

* To be fair, both TGPX and Arylia decoded their scripts to allow for self-support and customization and, thus, removal of domain specific limitations, to their credit.

TubeSubmitters 02-04-2015 05:27 PM

Well said. Would buy it myself if there was an unlimited version, would be nicer to pay a fee for updates/support instead.

I've bought this script and will be rolling it out on my remaining TGP sites.

The question now is who is going to step up and start providing templates for this new script ?

That's the biggest roadblock right now, having designers who understand the script and it's features so that template designs take advantage of everything in a seamless but uniquely designed way.

I'll be happy to integrate any PSD into any of Konrad's scripts, be it the tube one or this TGP one or any other, etc... At the end of the day, all one requires is a PSD design, that's all. Also pretty sure Konrad can integrate any PSD design for you too if you want him to.

That being said, it's pretty easy to throw custom designs at this script. :2 cents:

We have a designer on staff that can do templates, but it will be a bit before we start releasing non-exclusive templates for it on mbtemplates.com. The templating is very similar to the tube script.
