Fuck you Discover card you can Discover my banhammer starting tomorrow.

OK so I am 99% sure I am fucking done accepting Discover Card.

Noon tomorrow, CST I am banning those assholes and their "whine like a little bitch we'll refund it all at the merchant's expense even if it's 18 months old" policies.

Unless someone can come in here and tell me why I shouldn't, getting rid of 0.8% of my income along with 15% of my headaches seems like a good deal.

Anyone care to stop me?

blackmonsters 01-30-2015 10:57 AM

I can't afford to Discover any cards.

I stopped accepting them a long time ago. Cunt fucks charged back something from 14 months previous. WTF? Have not noticed a damn differance since dropping them.

Who the fuck uses Discover anyway? I do not know a single person who has that card.

sandman! 01-30-2015 11:05 AM

+ charge the merchant the $30+ chargeback fee it's a win-win for the consumer and discover.

iSpyCams 01-30-2015 11:19 AM

OK guys thanks. Based on your replies I am not putting it off any longer. Hammer drops now.

iSpyCams 01-30-2015 11:29 AM

Done. Unchecking that little box in Netbilling and hitting "apply" was oddly satisfying.

But seriously, fuck those guys.

Since I'm a nice guy I wrote some catchy advertising copy for them:

"Discover - because we hate merchants almost as much as you hate paying your damn bills. It pays to Discover the card that covers your deadbeat ass!"

"Apply now for 150% fraud protection with Discover Card! - What's 150% fraud protection? you are 0% liable for fraudulent charges on your account and additionally only responsible for half the legitemate ones! How is that possible you ask? Easy! We just steal the money you spent from business owners and give it back to you!"

"Freddy changed his mind about something he bought a year ago. He's found a new site to jerk off to, but he spent a lot of money with a cam girl last year and is pretty close to his credit limit. Unfortunately he used Visa for those purchases and it's too late to dispute the charges now. If he had Discover in his wallet, he could get all that money back so he could screw somebody else over! - Apply now!"

Well I would welcome that but most of the CB's I get from Discover would not have been CB's with Visa/MC cause too old. Others appear to be initiated by Discover themselves and the customers were shocked when their accounts were closed as a result.

iSpyCams 01-30-2015 02:56 PM

Here's another:

"No, you can't have your cake and eat it too, but if you bought the cake with Discover you can charge it back and buy another cake with the same money!"

Adraco 01-30-2015 03:42 PM

I do have the Diners Club card, which is part of the Discover card network.
Really nice card, lots of airline miles, flexible payment terms, accepted by Paypal, access to airport lounges accross the world and nice customer support. I use my card all the time.

As long as we're bringing up irrelevant facts about ourselves that nobody cares about, I have a mole on my left ass cheek, real close to where my leg starts. I haven't seen it in awhile but I would bet money it's still there.
