Mech Bunny Link Exchange Program

How many people would be interested in Link Exchange program, which could be possibly made by Mech Bunny? This was discussed on the forum a while ago, and I dont see a reason why their company could not work on something like this, if there would be enough demand, and something like that would be profitable to them as business. In the end thats what is far.

I am talking about something like Link Organizer, this would be installed on a server as a separate folder (something like Piwik, lets say), and it would be possible to keep track of links on unlimited number of domains (php / mysql based, I think, something simple). Something like this is used here The Pornstar List Link Exchange, and it is a part of why their websites are successful.

Something like this would be very good, professional, and well thought-out, and it could be priced accordingly. How many people would be possibly interested in buying something like this? Please add a reply for yes!

There is a technical problem with this. The only reasonable way to actually get the links on various sites (and by this i mean, one install of the link script and you have various sites you can manage links on) would be to deliver them to the end point with javascript - at which point they would no longer be "hard links".

Can't do an "include" because of various scripts (some using smarty, some using our templating system, some using god knows what) because you can't (or shouldn't) include remote files because every pageload would be your server sending and waiting on an http request just to get some links, which would slow your site down. You can't use an iframe because that wouldn't be hardlinks either. You can't load asyncronously with jquery because of cross-domain issues.

So while the idea is not bad, and frankly it can be written in 1 day and we'd probably release it as a free script (with maybe a link to some site of ours or something) - i'm not sure how to get around these problems to actually make it useful.

A good alternative for Links Organizer - The Ultimate Hard Links Exchanging & Trading Tool! Instant Google Page Rank Booster! would be great.

daebak!! awesome!

I did not analyze exactly how it would be written, but it would be an easy script. As far as I know, Page Rank is no longer updated / (used), but the program could pull some other information about the websites, could be something like numbers from OpenSiteExplorer.org, Majestic.com, or ahrefs.com.

Links would need to be added by hand, I think, and it could be anywhere on the domain, to make it easier. I am not sure how this part would work. I guess nobody would be adding all blog posts urls of 100 or 200 blogs that they have to the program... Again, Linkspun.com works, Links Organizer used to work, something like this should work too.

Maybe people from Smart Scripts could look into something like this. They have not released anything for quite some time. It would be good if it would be done by one of the good companies, and it would be supported / updated, and so on...

It can be started as something simple, then expanded, I am not sure...

# # # Edit:

People could be requesting a trade on a certain page too http://domain-name.com/page-name-here, and they would be placing their reciprocal link on one of the pages of their site too, so this could be anything... It would not need to be all in the system, people could choose, and request it. Again, I am not sure exactly how this would work.

All this could be consulted with people who do xxx seo, I am not sure... Good programing, good seo knowledge, base it on this advice.

Linkspun screenshot

In general, it would be a program for off-site seo / link exchange, and it could manage 100, 200, or 1000 separate domains (of the same person / company). As long as this would not interfere with Google.com, and other search engine websites (and there is probably a way to do it, so it does not), it would be a very good and useful script (as long as links are important for seo, and they probably will be, for quite some time).

ill get a bunch of links from pr 7-8 sites and you can get some from pr 0-1 then and we'll see how it ends up.

Maybe people who work / specialize in xxx seo can add their posts here, with professional opinion about a program like this. Would it be good, would it work, would it be ok with Google, and so on? One more good script, which could be added to a network of xxx sites, would be a very good thing / improvement.

I made something like this for personal use... To show up the links on all sites, I use a "plugin" php, which parses a RSS feed type of xml to display the links ;)

To be honest, I doubt we'll make something like this - there is very little interest in it and it would be competing with established stuff like linkspun + traffic trading/pagerank/etc are all kinda worthless now.
