Buying skimmed traffic from Traffic Holder and Traffic Shop
I paid for 9,000 of visitors from Traffic Holder, and Traffic Shop, and I only got a total of around, lets say 7,000-7,500 visitors from each site, could be less than that.
I asked both companies what is going on, and I was told to send them server logs. I kind of did (I did not have access to all that was needed as too much time have passed, based on the server settings), and I did not really get a reply from any of them (I did not really push for the answers, so to speak). I know that Google Analytics does not have to be accurate, but in general, from experience, how does it, more or less, works? Do you always get 70% or 80% of what you actually order, or did I probably get all visitors, but it is, in fact, not showing in the stats. How to measure that next time, and what would be the best way to go, as far as this? Thanks. |
What would I do next time? Not buy blind traffic. Its all shit/bot stuff anyway.
After you've filtered, washed and filtered again, and got rid if the sites that send you traffic which send you 95% bounce, see what's left. Not much for your $$$, I bet! |

It's kind of like trying to sell an ice-cream by saying that it takes like shit. That said. Always buy only clicked targeted traffic, unless you have a specific setup to deal with skimmed (feeder) traffic. |
In our experience, any traffic that opens in a new window/tab (eg. skimmed, popunders) Google Analytics will only count between 60%-70% of the total incoming traffic. So, what you are seeing isn't that unusual.
Your server logs should show very close to the actual amount of visitors sent, usually within 5%, and never more than 10% difference. The advantage of skimmed traffic over, say, clicked targetted traffic is price. Yes, the quality will be lower, but if your target page is set up to be optimized for skimmed traffic it can be very effective, and a good value. That's why it's still being sold. (and that's why we have many clients buying $100's of skimmed traffic per day). Google Analytics is great for determining the quality of the traffic from various sources. Use this info to create black/white-list of traffic. This is one of the keys to optimizing ANY type of traffic. And, focus more on ROI than pure counts. If you spend $100, and made $150, that's good. If you only made $50, that's bad. |
Thanks ravo!

What is the meaning of clicked traffic? Clicks on banners that I place on different websites, or does it have a broader meaning? In the end, blind skimmed traffic can be called clicked too. What would be the meaning of having a setup for advertising with skimmed traffic? I am planning to use Google Analytics, and also look at server logs. I am reading 3 books about GA now, I will be researching it further on the Net too. In general, I am talking about advertising a website like ImageZog.com - Adult Pinboard (Pintastic script). I may combine it with a traffic trading script. Blind Skimmed Traffic -> Pintastic + (lets say) Trade Pulse. What would be your opinion on this? |
Your target page has to meet the expectations of the source traffic. So, if the visitor is coming from a free tube site (ie. a site with tons of thumbnailed links to free videos), don't show them a paysite tour with 3 videos on it. First off, they are not in a buying mood, and second, that's not enough content to satisfy their curiosity.
Find out where the traffic is coming from, figure out what the visitors want, and then give it to them. (that's Sales 101). Yes, "skimmed" traffic is a specific type of traffic more broadly known as "clicked". |

I can't work out exactly from your comments if imagezog.com is your site.
If it is, I am noticing on Firefox that when I click on any image from home page it doesn't open a new window and the issue is this : Am on home page and click on any image and go to page eg imagezog.com/pin/xxxxxxx BUT when I click back arrow to go back to home page the URL at top shows imagezog.com BUT the image / content on the home page URL now showing is still that of imagezog.com/pin/xxxxxxx I need to press enter again to get the home page content rather than that occuring automatically as I return ( back click ) to home page. |
you can try cpminventory for full page redirected clicked traffic @ 1$, Let me know if you need any assistance

Trafficshop has great quality traffic and always send 100% of hits. They are probably one of the most honest companies in the business. Any difference in stats would be explained by the GA issue or something with your tracking.
With skimmed and volume traffic you have to optimize and select sources. |
