Questions about Enter/Exit Pages

I got a few questions about the Enter/Exit page. Obviously, if the user clicks "Enter" he/she gets taken to the home page, but when he/she hits "Exit", they get redirected to some other site. My questions are:

Is that Enter/Exit page (splash page?) necessary or is it a country/personal usage thing?

I don't wanna lose that traffic that hits "Exit" so what is the best option for that? My site is still in the embryonic stage, so I don't have much traffic just yet.

Another thing....the site I'm working on is a gallery site and I need some content (pics/vids). In my intro thread, there was some good options, however, I'm looking for something like Signbucks where I can have a plethora of options. Also, Signbucks had some good stuff, but it seems like a lot of their stuff hasn't been updated for years. Any other options? Thanks and appreciate your help.

Fuck that enter/exit nonsense. They clicked a link to get to your site didn't they? Just put a loud annoying autoplay video clip on there and you're set.

That's what I was thinking...

I was thinking the same thing...they're looking for porn, so they know what they're doing. I've seen some sites use that Enter/Exit page and it seems kinda unnecessary, like another hoop to jump thru. Thanks.

The only reason I ever used those pages is because some of the sites I was getting my sites listed on (like persiankitty.com) required my site to have one. That was back in the late 90's

Otherwise, I would never put up an obstacle for someone to see my site.

I do not have an exit button or link on my website. They can hit the X if they don't wanna be there.
