Retire in Canada - Buy this hotel... CHEAP!

Motel on the River for sale - Killer deal >>>
My good friend owns a hotel with camp ground in British Columbia, Canada. It also has a cafe.

His is selling it for the rediculously low price of $375k (Canadian)!!!
With the current exchange rate, if you pay in USD, it would only be $300k!!!

Her is the property:
Rivermount Motel, Cafe, RV Park and Camping

Will go fast:thumbsup

incredibleworkethic 02-05-2015 12:40 PM

That's a sweet deal. I'd have to really look at the details before considering. Too bad I'm stuck in Ontario for the next while.

Rochard 02-05-2015 12:43 PM

Looks pretty really.

incredibleworkethic 02-05-2015 12:45 PM

You know what's crazy? My house in Ontario is $300k. I would buy that retirement property and not even care if it made money. Looks so fresh, calm and inviting.

my townhome is over 300K :/ real estate in big cities is way overpriced.

that place looks a bit rundown though. i doubt it gets much business.

You have to be very careful when purchasing campgrounds like that to make sure all their septic is up to date. A local small campground had to upgrade their's and it cost over $200 k. Luckily they were able to get some government funding to help, otherwise they probably would have shut down.

They bought it 3 years ago, the guy is a old fisherman & he wants to move back to the ocean. It's just him and his wide running the place, too much work for them .

If I buoght it (& I may) , I'd just build a wall around the property & turn it in to one big private residence. :2 cents:

Dvae 02-05-2015 04:29 PM

Is it haunted?

Why? Floor plan is nothing good for a single residence. Better earn some money from those rooms instead of keeping them empty.

SpaceDoc 02-06-2015 08:06 PM

not bad, not bad offer at all

Buy it and turn it into a Canadian version of...

NUDES-A-POPPIN 2015

WarChild 02-06-2015 10:11 PM

Does it bring in enough revenue each year to support some employees or is it only feasible if the owner runs everything themselves? Two people currently run the motel and café 7 days a week? Says satellite television, is that the only internet connection available too?

just a punk 02-07-2015 03:40 AM

Looks like a good deal. I've bought my apartments in Moscow (in a regular apartment building) for about the same money :upsidedow

SekobA 02-07-2015 06:06 AM

That's a nice place and not expensive. My life wish is to go and work in Canada to bad they still ask for visas from my country

If you make an investment, it gets you the visa.

EDIT: program was terminated.
