Anyone prefers Trackball over mouse?

Heya!

So I fairly often switch the mouse between my right and left hands and I thought wouldnt it be better to get a trackball.. anyone using one of those things around here?

Oracle Porn 02-06-2015 06:59 AM

been using kensington's trackballs for over 5 years now, their customer service is next to none in US. Any problem with the trackball they send you a new one (5 year warranty).
I've used the expert trackball but purchased the slimblade trackball as soon as it came out, it had bunch of problems at first but now they have been around for a few years already and all problems have been ironed out. I love it.

I was checking out the Logitech M570 which looks like a nice hybrid... but still not sure if I should get one.. Somebody said that he is using a mouse in his right hand and a trackball in the left :)

i use one of these at home:

http://www.butyoudontlooksick.com/tc...kman-wheel.jpg

pros:
-its the most ergonomic, you are only moving your thumb and if you keep the mouse sensitive it doesn't have to move much.
-can rest it anywhere, no need for a desk. sometimes i'll just keep it at my side.

cons:
-not great for games. although i find it more precise for certain stuff its a pain if you have to move around fast.
-ball falls out pretty easy

I use a standard mouse at work, i have used one so long here I think it would hinder if i tried to switch it up at this point. I think i even tried it once years ago.

I switched from mouse to trackball ages ago.. But after moving from trackball to wacom there's really no way back!

Of course because you are at a different location then me and it seems like they want to redirect me to a localized page which creates the loop.

comes from my gaming days and first person shooters. Nothing could beat the accuracy of a mouse like that..

Yeah it's a rather special way of using the already odd computer

Yah I use this one too, you can switch hands, though I mostly use my right (Even though I'm left handed) Trackballs are better for your wrists.

No, but stay the hell away from Apple's grossly overpriced "magic mouse". They stop working after a while and are very expensive, just like everything Apple makes. Terrible device. Avoid it at all costs!

What computer related thread would be complete without an "Apple hater" expressing his or her opinion?

Same I'm left handed by use the mouse with my right, that's part of the reason I use tracballs.

Without getting into my diatribe about Apple, actually everything I own is Apple, multiple macs, iPhone, iPad, iPod, everything!

But they've royally let me down in recent years, especially since Mr. Job's untimely death.

It seems there is one and only one thing important to Mr. Cook and that's great god dollar.
He's getting it now, but in the end I think both the company and Mr. Cook will go tumbling down.

But the magic mouse still sucks cock!

CPA-Rush 02-21-2015 10:42 PM

i used that before mouse , much better .
