Any luck accepting bitcoins as payment method?
I was just wondering if anybody had any luck accepting bitcoins as payment method. So far numbers are not on bitcoins side as only 5-6 million people worldwide actually hold bitcoins (probably the number of active bitcoins users is even lower). However, the number of bitcoins users is expanding fast so who knows in future, I would like to get your point of view about it.

Just depends if you are wanting to store them as bitcoins and not convert to currency right away will decided how you integrate. One of my gateways was configured for it already, and the other I had to code to the api.. But NATS supports it as well. so all was good. |
I like their concept and the fact that have low transaction fees, unfortunately the majority of people still ignores them..do you have many transactions in bitcoins?

EroAdvertising is accepting BitCoins as payment settings
|
We will see how it will go this year for bitcoins
|
Few people are using bitcoins nowadays, they prefer paypal/skrill
|
I know, Unfortunately. Also most people holding bitcoins are reluctant to use them as they could go up in value. Eventually price will stabilize and more people will start using them
|
Everyday more people are using bitcoin for spending on adult and gambling websites.
|
Accept them and use them.
Namecheap accepting it as payment options. |
Kinda weirded out with bitcoins as of late. I just feel like all it takes is a swipe of a congressman's pen to outlaw bitcoin or other crypto currencies and your speculative investment is gone. They can't do that with something tangible. Am I wrong?

The Capricoin is the next big thing ... Already breaking record and it's not officially launched yet .. The merchants APP is coming soon in Q1 of 2016 ... You want to get into this (*you don't even know yet)
I started writing a guide on the subject - CRYPTO ELITE - SEE MY SIG *that will answer any question you may have :thumbsup |
Definitely accept Bitcoin for payment. It's not quite as in the news as it used to be (mostly because there haven't been as many scandals lately), however, more and more people are using Bitcoin. Valve, the massive video game publisher, will soon be accepting Bitcoin for payment on its PC Gaming platform called Steam, which means that millions of gamers are soon going to have spare Bitcoins jingling in their virtual pockets.

For 10 years i've never bought any porn online. The reason:
1. I don't want to put my credit card info online. 2. I hate the recurring payments, and i'm afraid porn websites will do that to my credit card 3. I don't trust putting my person info on most porn sites At the end of 2015, i finally bought some porn online, What did i use? Bitcoin! I no longer have to be afraid of using my credit card or putting my info online. Bitcoin solves this. It's easy and an anonymous. I've been looking to buy some more porn online, but i've noticed most porn sites haven't added bitcoin as a payment. Just last night i wanted to try out Pornhub's premium area. Unfortunately they don't accept bitcoin and only accept credit card. Therefore i didn't purchase it. Bitcoin is great for buying porn. |
I do not believe ( for now anyway) that even ONE out of THOUSAND customers has a bitcoin acct... It is NOT PayPal yet, but I hope it will be soon :thumbsup

We include it as a payment option on the order page for our merchants who are using Verotel. The rate on BTC is only 1% of the transaction! :thumbsup
The numbers really vary by merchant. It really depends on your marketing and whether or not you show your users that you do accept it. If it is only tucked away on your join pages or you leave it up to us to show on the order page, people only find out last minute and likely will not use it. We have some merchants that are pushing it and are seeing a notable amount of transactions and others don't mention it at all and see considerably less in terms of transactions. |
We did a for a while then stopped, I don't think it will last. Just a guess though.

People need to start using bitcoin more.
Currently their is about 100,000 transactions per day, tiny. If it went up to 1 million, 10 million, then we see some real value in bitcoin. Its great for gambling, you can send bitcoin and gamble without signing up, takes seconds which is great. |

That is what I have said above... I do not care how many webmasters are using bitcoin, unless there is a lot more consumers with bitcoin acctounts ,its like having a thousand condoms and nobody to use them with :1orglaugh |
