Why did you post that headline, and then post a link debunking it in the same post? Wehateporn would not approve of your methods.

Nice design

Volkswagen's XL1 is a 1,752 pound (800kg), 2 seater that is not to USA auto safety standards and impractical for any serious use.

Scale that design out to production materials, a 4 cylinder turbocharged flex fuel engine ( can this even be made? ) and a 4 seat fold down deck hatchback (crossover mini SUV) then the design would be marketable in the USA.

i'd drop an ZL1 into it just to see what happens.

Eventually we will all be driving electric cars. Tesla is leading the way, and you are seeing more and more of them on the road every day.

What I don't understand is why aren't the big oil companies investing into solar and electric cars? It's obvious his is how it's gong to go. Oil and gasoline will no longer be sold to the masses. They are shooting themselves in the foot.

What makes you think they aren't already deeply involved in the technology? Probably the fact that you still have the clueless Iroc-Z, stuck in the 80s mentalithy.
