Well the sad reality is that when the bombers come along, they just disperse and hide. So they'd don't really get damaged at all. When the bombers disappear they come back. Since they're not a state they don't have state assets to degrade.

It's a tough nut to crack.... better with boots on the ground but then you're going in a whole new direction.

Right, but their ultimate goal is to hold lots of territory, and maybe they'll get it. But it's much harder to hold on to it. Once their reach expands and they get this "state", they won't have the resources and infrastructure to absorb massive bombing raids -- and no air force to reciprocate on our home turf.
