Is HD a part of your marketing plan this year?

The demand for quality HD content will continue to grow this year and beyond for several reasons. Here are a few: :2 cents:

1) The price of internet ready TV's are coming down and more people will be getting them in their homes. They will therefore looking for more online HD content to fill the screen.

2) Many smart phones today shoot in HD so more user generated content will be uploaded from performers/talent directly. These phones also do video to video live chat out of the box, which was unheard of only a few years ago.

3) Smaller 4K FPV (first person view) cameras like the GoPro are putting creativity into the subjects hands,"action footage" is huge right now.

Adult marketers/webmasters and sponsors who know how to leverage HD or high definition video as part of their marketing plan can make good coin. Many programs already are taking advantage of this by using higher quality as an upsell. So, put that in your pipe and smoke it :pimp Ad more value to your content and watch more surfers roll in to your sales funnel. Hope this helps some people!

Unfortunately, that happens but fooling surfers is not going to keep them coming back for rebills or way to build a brand online. Also, they are more savvy these days when it comes to spending money and getting the most for their modest investment.

That's what I was thinking. Anyone not shooting in HD is a waste of space and can't expect to be taken serious :2 cents:

Me too. LOL If you are shooting new content shoot it in HD and bring it down to SD if you really want to.

The only exception might be for some amateur-type content.

There are threads like this a decade ago.

A well shot hot picture will still be a hot movie.

People are still watching Charlie Chaplin shot in 1925 B&W shot on a hand cranked film camera.

Just because it is the standard doesn't mean that it is part of the marketing strategy to capture more traffic. The resolution has increased and a new buzzword "4K" is now in play. The question is valid and many programs do not promote it as a differentiator from every other site. FYI...most people can't watch 4k online but it does not mean you can't educate people by creating content about it and bring them into your sales funnel.
