How are my fellow Canadians not angry
I seriously starting to think we are the largest group of cowards on the planet with Bill C-51. How does this get support ? Your seriously worried about terrorism when its more likely you will get struck by lightening, wtf is your thinking.
:2 cents: |
Because they're all too busy bitching about American politics?
|
the only support it has is harpers majority and their drones. regular canadians won't stop it.

I don't think you understand the odds. You consider this "the odds of one person being struck by lightening" but that's not correct. It's more like "When lightening strikes it will kill a thousand Canadians, cost billions of dollars, and set us on a course of war that will thousands of Canadians". This is what happened with 9/11 here in the United States. Lighting struck, it kills thousands in a single attack, cost us billions, hurt our national pride, and led to us invading another country which, over a decade later, we still have troops there.

Don't like Bill C-51 but until the election (presumably) this fall, what can I do?
|
Have you contacted your MP? Do you know how to? Do you know who your MP is? Do you know what MP stands for? If you said no to any 2 of these you may not be a coward, but you aren't making a difference or even have the capabilities of making one yourself either.
protests without political support are nothing more than whining. |

Him: "well, you went straight home and iced it and took care of it and wrapped it today for support to make sure to take some strain off it right?" Me "Uhm... no" Him: "Then shut the fuck up" Kinda sums up people bitching about politics as well. |

So far with every new thing in the war on terror I just see more terrorist.
They used to just do beheadings but after a decade of "war on terror" live human burnings are now the rage. |

the whole thing is fairly bizarre, but the most bizarre was: 'anti-canadian petroleum movement'. So, if you were to say, protest 'without political backing' a pipeline going through your backyard, you are 'anti-canadian'. :1orglaugh Quote:

Because of the secret ingredient in maple syrup.

The First Reading of Bill C-51 was on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 The Second Reading is Scheduled for Monday, April 28th, 2008 It appears that our Government is trying to fast track this bill before anyone has a chance to challenge it. Bills normally take months to pass not weeks. wow. |

He's undermined many of the Canadian values and charters. I personally think him and his little puppets should all be charged with TREASON. |
