SEO tips for 2015
Hi,
I started this thread because I wanted a better understanding of what's working in terms of seo and in particular for adult webmasters. Aside from doing on site seo what type of back links do you need now for effective rankings when targeting a specific keyword? There's always been discussions regarding do follow and no follow backlinks but in the adult world how many sites now actually let you build backlinks to them that are do follow? I mostly see tube site with paid links on them but unless you have a big enough budget to spend on buying links where does it leave the smaller guys? Google has been going through so many updates and I was even wondering does google still care about weather your links are do follow/no follow? Any information from fellow webmasters and marketers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
Why try and game google forget about backlinks and make a site you would want to return to with great content and ads that are not in your face.

You need links that are placed in actual content of a page. Links in footers, sidebars, link farms and such places won’t help much and even may hurt you.
|
I think there is an opportunity to post videos on youtube linking to mainstream sites that then link to your adult links. Migration is a key and giving something away to build a list, that way you do not rely on Google for traffic
|
Sites with no content and loads of backlinks will still get you targeted search engine traffic. Backlinks help experiment and prove it to yourself.

Nothing has changed since 2014. What used to work, still works

Forget backlinks google is looking for good quality content on sites now. I found this link you might be interested in reading:

You need two things good quality content and quality backlinks ( a lot of them ) and a bit of luck !
|
I built a site a little over a year ago using NO backlinks.... just a lot of well researched keywords in a less competitive fetish niche.
It took a while to get some traction but the site is up to 600 uv and 15,000 page views and I really haven't worked on it all that much. All my articles are high quality with high word counts and lots of sexy pics. That being said, I'm sure a few high PR backlinks would have sped things up a bit. Gook luck with everything! |

You will miss out or in essence be penalized if your site is not displaying well on mobile browsers, beginning on April 21st.
You should make sure your site passes muster here: Google Mobile Friendly Test My recent experience: Get good stable traffic on social media for your new site and eventually Google will begin to send your new site (an equivalent amount) traffic - if you are doing social right you should see results after about 6 months. Social is the best source of traffic at this point. Your site's load times are an increasingly important factor. That's as much quick and general 2015 SEO advice I can share for free. |

Well, the good way is to use google keyword planner in order to watch which query/keywords are more popular. Another way is to make analysis of competitor's sites and get useful info from it :thumbsup |
For me works only quality links. One good linking site seems to be enough to start ranking. Sites with no content seems to be penalized (panda). But I see many tubes with no video descriptions ranking very well, so I don't know... anyway 50 words+ is enough, but the more the better. I saw one blog that have at least 400 words per article and it rank like a charm (according to alexa, under 25k). I have also find out that text on homepage impact one of my sites' ranking a lot.

Internal linking is one major onsite element that I feel a lot of people neglect in the adult niche. Since there's not as much backlinkage (people don't naturally link to porn) and less link-building opportunities, internal linking plays a much bigger role in "shuffling pagerank around".
So make every new page on your site target a different longtail, but make an internal-linking strategy to slowly bump up the rankings for the more valuable, competitive and high-traffic keywords. Getting a little more blackhat, but I've found that linkwheeling works in the adult niche. If other sites aren't going to link to you naturally, might as well build sites for linkbuilding schemes. It's not like the traffic isn't being monetized anyway, so the more the merrier! |

Currently you need to concentrate mainly on social media optimization to rank your website including high pr backlinks from low OBL sites. Also, don't forget the main thing "unique content" Google loves it. and within weeks you can see your sites ranking goes high with some tweaks.
|
Sites that update with good content tend to not need backlinks as much.
|
What I find working now is
good quality content on your site social signals (tweets, likes, shares) social engagement (comments on your site) |
Relevant backlinks, and by relevant I mean niche related.

Also keep in mind that a lot of other little things are important as well - being mobile friendly, fast load times - but none of them and I mean none are as important as relevant backlinks combined with quality content. And by quality content, I should clarify this means what appears to be quality content to the end user. If your site has more ads than content, then you failed. If a user was searching for blonde lesbians with big tits and end up on your site dedicated to brunette asian chicks with no boobs, then no matter how great your content for blonde lesbians may be, you failed. If your site is about Kim Kardashian, then think about all the things someone interested in Kim Kardashian may like or want to see. Don't offer exactly what every other Kim Kardashian site offers - be different, somehow be unique and above all, offer more than the next guy and make sure you are promoting the fact that you offer more than the next guy. The longer you can get that Kim Kardashian fan to hang out at your site, the better your SEO will be and the more traffic Google will send you because now Google is like oh hey this site must have some quality ass Kim Kardashian content because these fuckers who visit the site looking for Kim K seem to hang out there a long ass time. But again without relevant backlinks, you aren't going to get anywhere either. It's not either or - it's both. You must have both. |
No any rule works for SEO...
