House of Cards

Anyone else planning on a bit of binge watching of House of Cards Season 3 this weekend?

bronco67 02-26-2015 12:26 PM

All of the bandwidth of the internet will be sucked into Netflix on release day.

Rochard 02-26-2015 02:24 PM

Are they releasing the entire season in one shot?

Mobius Matt 02-26-2015 02:45 PM

Pretty sure their all getting released at once...unless netflix is changing its current release model, but I haven't heard anything to back that up.

baddog 02-26-2015 03:33 PM

I did not see season 3 available yet; but will definitely check up on it.

February 27 (tomorrow) is when it comes out.

mineistaken 02-26-2015 05:08 PM

It sucks when you do not remember how did the last season end. Or worse - when you are not sure at which episode have you stopped watching and you need to find the one to continue on, lol.

slapass 02-26-2015 05:11 PM

I am going to hibernate. Love that show.

Alice22 02-26-2015 06:43 PM

Watching second season now, i like it.

Also, "the good wife" is great show.

ErectMedia 02-26-2015 06:51 PM

Not a big TV guy but went a little nuts the last month or so and watched 7 seasons of Sons Of Anarchy and 3 seasons of LillyHammer. Need a breather before I attempt a new series.

Elli 02-26-2015 08:31 PM

I limit myself to watching only one a night. That way I get to enjoy the suspense a little more. :)

Nice; I wonder how long it will take us to finish it. I don't see any "musts" for the weekend.

Sly 02-26-2015 09:24 PM

I don't have time this weekend to watch it, going to have to stay off of social media!

Ross 02-27-2015 07:20 AM

I'll watch 4 eps tonight then the rest Saturday/Sunday. Looking forward to it, great show.

Nydahl 02-27-2015 01:05 PM

Wow! Didn't know you were around still. :)

celandina 03-01-2015 08:53 AM

Watched first 5 epis. Not timely, nobody deals with ISIS or Ukraine..... Nobody gives a shit about the 4 epi drama in Jordanian Valley.... They should have re wrote and re shoot a few bits.... Right now its like watching current 2015 show about invasion of Grenada...:error

...and no more "tits" or bad language... They went minstream to their peril...:321GFY:error

TeenCat 03-01-2015 09:27 AM

nothing made after 1990 is entertaining at all :2 cents:

Elli 03-01-2015 01:34 PM

The first episode was good, but you can really tell there was a break in the shooting schedule. Claire was way over acting and seems to be overdoing the sugar sweet this episode. The Doug Stamper character is great, but he better figure in the story pretty strongly soon or that was a waste of an hour. Hm.

GAMEFINEST 03-01-2015 02:16 PM

Love that show.

sandman! 03-01-2015 02:46 PM

watched the whole season this weekend was pretty good :thumbsup

That's a lot of judgment for one episode. :winkwink:

This season is a long game. Very deep storyline. Finished it this afternoon.

J. Falcon 03-01-2015 05:15 PM

I like this show but honestly it is far from great. From the start, Underwood seems to get away with everything while everyone else is basically clueless. They keep on falling for the most obvious traps, over and over. The former president (Walker), the chief of staff, the billionaire... all people who you would expect to be pretty sharp and would see a set up coming, act like innocent children. It's like they're saying to Underwood "ok so you tricked me before several times, but if you do it one more time, so help me..." Also the way Underwood commits cold blooded murder, repeatedly, and makes it all the way to POTUS with no repercusion is hard to believe. And finally, the bisexual threesome in season 2 was put there simply for shock value and has no purpose in the story.

Oh, and having the Doug character survive was dumb. He was dead, everyone was sure he was dead. They should have moved on.

oppoten 03-01-2015 05:43 PM

I had no idea there was an American version of it

I'll take this as a good sign. :)

slapass 03-02-2015 04:57 AM

About three episodes in and not feeling it. We have characters all over the place.

J. Falcon 03-02-2015 07:49 AM

The Russian president was funny.

scuba steve 03-02-2015 08:57 AM

finished it last night. wasn't a fan really. started slow, did pick up and had some cool twists, but nothing monumental and not really a cliff hanger ending or anything

J. Falcon 03-02-2015 08:59 AM

I better stop reading this thread orI will catch a spoiler i rathernot read.

Mainstream? When he spit in the statue of Jesus's face in the church. lol

And there is no filter to the fact that cameras are everywhere? His other questionable action in the first episode falls under, "no rational person would ever do this."

Mobius Matt 03-05-2015 12:40 PM

Finished it. Honestly not the best season. Though interested to see where it goes after the ending.

That's funny.

J. Falcon 03-05-2015 03:36 PM

I've seen road runner cartoons with more plausible storylines than this show.
