Does your state have a searchable database for court cases?

Do most states in the US by now have online databases for court cases going on in the legal system? Or is that done on a county/district basis?

Database

You referring to civil, criminal or both? I'm in a state does and I know my county does. However, you have to sign up for it and there's a fee. I can't remember if it's only open to lawyers and news people or anyone can pay the fee.

Just regular information varies so much from state to state, county to county. Some states charge fees just to view company information and other states it's tons of free available information.

If you're looking for records on a specific person, one of those background check for $49.95 might be a better deal.

I think there's a pay service you can use that access all state federal cases, my attorney had access to something like this. Not sure what it is or how much.

Pennsylvania has a "judicial portal" where you can search most courts (district, appellate, common pleas) by participant or case number. You also have to specify the county when searching, but it's statewide. It gives you docket sheets and court summaries, and, as of right now, it's free, probably because through that same portal you can pay fines, tickets, court fees, etc. online.

They've been taking mugshots in Australia since 1910. Look at this badass smoking and holding his big hardon in his pants. :thumbsup

Brazen: William Stanley Moore is pictured on May 1, 1925, with a cigarette in hand. He was described as an opium dealer who operated with large quantities of fake opium and cocaine. He also had associations with waterfront thieves and drug traders. SOURCE

You sure about that? I seem to recall having to do a voluntary booking which required another mug shot and finger printing.
